Note from Coach Rob
Hey Tigers, just a few reminders.
1. If you can make it to field day Saturday I will be down at the Mustang and Bronco Fields at about 9 am. I can only stay for a couple hours also but if you can spare some time that would be great. I know a few of you have emailed me to tell me you were coming and some have other field days or prior engagements and that is fine I appreciate you letting me know.
2. Practice is coming this coming Monday Feb 6th. My son Bryant also practices at Riviera on Wednesdays so I was there yesterday evening and It started getting Dark around 5:15 pm and it was pretty cold. So we will see how this week goes at 4:30 but if we can move it up a little I would like to do that, we will discuss it with everyone at practice. Dress warm and bring a sweat shirt or jacket something they can still practice in for your players also. Don't forget to bring water for their water Breaks.
3. I definitely will need help at practice and at games. If you can help out that would be great, the only thing is I need those of you that will be helping out to go get a "Live Scan" the back ground check. It is $15.00 and is good for 2 years You will need to go to "Safe and Secure" and tell them you need a Live Scan for TABB and the lady there will take care of you. It only took me about 5 min.
Safe & Secure 4172 Pacific Coast Highway #103 Torrance, CA 90505
I know Masa has and I have been cleared, but I do not know of anyone else on our team. Even if you have been cleared for other organizations you sill still need to be scanned it is specific for TABB. I would appreciate all the help I can so please get scanned.
4. I have attached the rules for TBALL and how it will work this season. They are located in the Handouts section on the left.
5. Just a reminder we have the Hit-A thon on Feb 25th. They will let us know what time our time slot is. This is the only fundraiser that TABB has. There is nothing else you will need to sell during the season, as a mater of fact this is totally volunteer participation if you don't do it that is ok you do not have to. I would however like full participation from our team even if its just a few dollars. It would be great if we can all get a few pledges then maybe we can win that team Pizza party. At the Hit A Thon Each Player will get to hit 10 balls off the TEE and where it stops is the score they will get. I have the Form attached so please start getting those pledges.
6. Lastly please mark down Opening Day Saturday March 3rd. I believe it starts at about 11 and goes to about 1 pm. there is actually the first regular season games for the upper divisions and after the morning games the Ceremony will begin but if it is like anything in the past there is usually a bouncer and other activities for kids to do. That's it for now, if you have any questions regarding any of the above mentioned items please feel free to contact me.
Thanks Everyone,
Rob
