An Urgent Letter from the TABB President...

Posted by Carisa Perkins at Mar 29, 2008 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Dear TABB Family

As some of you are aware of, effective immediately, our Snack Bar is closed. A complaint was filed with the Health Department by a parent from our league instead of coming to the TABB Board with their concerns. The Health Department conducted an inspection on Thursday night and found nothing to support their complaint. TABB’s snack bar was closed, however, due to non compliance with building codes and permits and NOT DUE TO SANITARY CODES. We are diligently working to rectify this situation and are hoping to find a temporary solution soon.

The approval process ahead of us is complicated and very costly. This will be a difficult challenge without the revenue from the snack bar. We are currently discussing ideas for fundraising and we ask that you continue to support TABB during this process. In the meantime, we are reaching out to our TABB families for resources to help us to solve this problem in a timely manner.

This is a huge blow to Torrance American Baseball. We rely heavily on the funds generated from the snack bar to maintain the fields, pay our utilities, dues & insurance and provide the very best we can for our children. Unfortunately, IT’S THE CHILDREN WHO ARE BEING AFFECTED THE MOST! The hot dogs and slush puppies are a big part of their baseball experience.

We want to thank you for your patience and understanding during this time and for helping to keep this The Finest Baseball League in South Bay!

CHECK OUT THE NEW MENU!

Posted by Gilbert Esparza at Mar 10, 2008 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
For those of you that will be living down at the fields for the next couple of months, you'll be glad to know that our menu has a lot of variety to it. It may take you a whole season to try one of everything.  Some of the new additions are fresh deli-style subs, Ceasar salads, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, chicken quesadillas, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the little sluggers just to name a few.
Also, use caution before ordering that double-cheeseburger.  We now are cooking up 1/3 lb. hamburger patties that are sure to satisfy even the biggest appetite.  Or maybe you want to try our new jumbo hot dogs smothered in chili.  Drop on by, catch some great baseball and start exploring the great food down at TABB.imageimage
