Knights Schedule Update

Posted by Jacob Taylor at Jan 1, 2012 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )

Knights Families – We are starting to dial in on the spring/summer planning.  I wanted to offer an update to the schedule for 2012. Please note the following pertaining to the attached schedule:

· January and February are pretty firm.  The coaching staff are still working out a few bugs.

· March thru May is very light to honor the Little League commitment.

· We will practice twice a month indoor during those months on Sunday (BLE), and communicate ahead of time with your LL/Spring coach to make sure we have their support.

· We will again use the spring break week to work the team out, we will play in a tournament the back weekend of the break (4/7).  There’s an event in Yakima that weekend that we would like to consider if we have the majority of the roster available.

· We will play in a Memorial Day tournament in the local area.

· June is still open – we will work around All Star and spring league playoff commitments and play as much as we can.

· We will travel to Reno, NV to play in the Triple Crown National Event there that we qualified for last year this is the weekend before the 4th of July.  We will likely travel on 6/28, games are 6/29 to 7/1, and we will take off 7/2 to 7/5 to allow for family travel back, etc.  We will probably have an optional outbound flight for the team – for those that decide to fly.  For those that drive, we will have a team meeting and practice the afternoon of 6/28 in Reno.  (We are still in need of a team travel coordinator – I will handle the details if we don’t end up with a volunteer.)

· We will play the weekend of 7/7, the Knights tournament, and then finish with our final tournament in early August.

Still some things to tie down, but this should help a lot with planning family trips, time off, and just reality of how busy we will be, with this and a bunch of other stuff!!

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks

Coach John

New Knights Logo by 12/15

Posted by Jacob Taylor at Dec 8, 2011 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )

Working with a new vendor, a much improved Knights logo decal has been developed (see attached).  This new decal is a durable, multi-color vinyl with floating letters, similar to the original decal developed back in 2007, but with improved colors and graphics and now a little bit smaller- about 8 x 8 inches. It looks sharp, and is very easy to apply; the backing adhesive is grooved to prevent bubble formation.   It will be offered for about $14 each, but could be lower depending on the quantity of orders we receive.

We are offering two versions (baseball version is attached):

A Baseball version that says "BASEBALL" on the bottom, with white ball/ blue stitching in the logo.

A Fastpitch version that says "FASTPITCH" on the bottom, with yellow ball/ red stitching in the logo.

Please let me know via email Scott Clow how many of each version you would like to purchase by Thursday December 15th. When final order quantities are determined, I’ll get back with you on the final unit price and collect money.  We should have them back from the vendor shortly after the holiday break.

Also- if you purchased last year’s 10x10 decal and are re-purchasing this one, please let me know. We may have a discount available to address quality issues with last year’s version.

Finally---- For those of you with players on multiple teams- please only submit your order quantity to one team!  Each team is collecting order quantities separately and submitting back to me.  I don’t want to have anyone double counted.

I received e-mail from Jill about possible time for truck to arrive.  It may be tomorrow between 4-730pm  OR if something unforseen happens with the delivery tomorrow then we will get it Friday afternoon.   She will keep me updated and I will be passing along info to you.   I will be sending a group text to everyone’s cell phone with these updates.  (if you do NOT have texting-please let me know so I can remove your number)

Please remember the following:

1)  Please bring all of your money received from orange sales AND donations.  You will need to turn in all money before taking your fruit.

2)  I will have the expected total amount due from each player based on our totals that John and I have gathered.

3)  Players will be able to pick up fruit after all boxes are unloaded and counted from truck.

4)  Fruit will be delivered to John Sugg’s House.

5)  I strongly suggest that we all chip in to help unload the truck.  If you have a hand truck, please bring that too.  This is a great time for siblings to help!!!

6)  Players will need to pick up their fruit by the end of that day.
