Landen Hill starts it off for the Orioles with a single. The inning ends with runs scored by Hill, Brad Monroe, Kelan Long and Jake Volo. Five strike-outs by Orioles’ Monroe leave the Rangers scoreless the first two innings. But the Rangers power back in the 3rd inning with singles by Glider, O’Brien, Meyer, and Wiley and take the lead, ending the inning 5-4. Intermittent, light rain makes for a challenging game, but both teams press on. The Orioles take back the lead with Monroe getting on base and scoring soon followed by Grant Brehm’s single RBI, scoring Long. The top of the 5th the Rangers score 3 more runs with a single by Windisch, RBI doubles by Meyer and Smith, scoring Windisch, O’Brien and Meyer. The Orioles fight back in the bottom of the 5th with singles by Ryan Welander and Nick Daniels, followed by an RBI single by Seth Knorr, scoring Welander. Daniels and Knorr both steal home on passed balls. The inning ends with a triple by Monroe that scored Jacob Bonillas. The Orioles hold their lead with quick defense in the top of the 6th, winning the game 10-8.
