Scrappers vs. Bees - 3/21/12 (no score)

Scrappers vs. Bees - 3/21/12 (no score)
The Scrappers came ready to play, and this sharp outfit made many fine plays in the field, including an amazing double play that looked like it had been produced by a high school team, not a pair of 7-8 year olds.  This play left the crowd buzzing, and Ezra Treskes and Sam Shuart helped their team at the plate as well.

For the Bees, Ari Wallace and Sean Carlin had strong days at the plate, and Kyle Donoho was the hero with some impressive hits and a very nice catch while playing centerfield.   Carlin and Donoho each were given "game balls" to acknowledge their performance.

Bats 5, Redwings 3 – 3/23/12

Posted by Bill Church at Mar 25, 2012 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
Connor “Golden Boy“ Reynolds threw just 17 pitches in the 1st inning, one of them he would love to have back. As Ed Pelc hit his 3rd homerun of the young season.  The Redwings came right back, when Jaron “Jumbaco” Wallace laced a triple to left field and came around to score on a passed ball from the catcher.  The Bats are able to score a couple of more runs, and once again the Redwings are able to tie the game at 3-3.  The Bats push a couple of runs across the plate, they would have had more runs if not for the unassisted double play turned by Zach”The Unit” Lyons. The Redwings had their chances twice the had bases loaded with one out or less and could not score. The Final Score Bats 5 Redwings 3. Overall a very well played game.Correspondent Larry Reynolds
