2012 OVLL SPORTSMANSHIP AWARDS

Posted by Bill Church at Apr 9, 2012 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

As the half way mark of our 2012 season approaches, the time for the sportsmanship awards is here.  What determines who should receive a team's Sportsmanship Award?  Here are a few qualities that the managers consider when selecting the recipient:

* Sportsmanship is not defined by talent or skill sets but character, attitude and
   hustle.

* Who gives encouragement through failures?
* Who is coachable, bringing a positie energy to practices and games?
* Who compliments others in success and is the hardest worker?
* Who is dedicated to the team?

This season's Sportmanship Awards will be handed out on Saturday, April 28 at a special and memoriable ceremony that runs all day, starting with the young Tee and Wee ball teams in the morning, and concluding with the big boys in Majors and Juniors.

The exact schedule for your team can be found from your team mom or manager.

Managers, the Sportsmanship Award Form can be found here and is due on Friday, 4/20.
