04/25/12 Majors Orioles v Giants

The Orioles’ bats are on fire with a triple by Dash Hill, a homerun by Brad “Llama” Monroe, and a triple by KJ Long, putting 2 runs on the board. Drew Jensen starts it for the Giants with a single, two stolen bases and scoring off a RBI single by James Williams. Big D Duarte with a single, a double by Big Bat Newman, and an RBI by Bones Knorr puts another run on the board for the Os in the 2nd. Giants come back in the 3rd with a solid hit by Drew Jensen, scoring Nick Guerro, a double by James Williams and single by Jackson Roeder, putting 3 runs on the board. Orioles stay strong in the 4th with singles by Eli Blake and Weeman Welander, and another double by Newman, scoring Blake to tie the game at 4-4. Orioles’ Monroe strikes out 3 of 3 batters in the 4th. Os take the lead in the 5th with Dash scoring the winning run off an RBI single by Rake Volo. Strong defense by the Os holds the Giants at 4 runs. Orioles win 5-4. Article and photos by OVLL Correspondent.

Mud Hens started off strong with a double from Kyle Roeder, followed by RBI from Chance DiMarco giving the Mud Hens a 2 run lead top of the first. Ace pitcher Jag Burden was on the mound for the Mud Hens with 4 strike outs in the first two innings to keep the lead. It wasn't until the bottom of the third, River Cats scored on an RBI double by Ryan Carles bringing the score 2-1 and then another run in the bottom of the fourth to tie it up.

The excitement came in the 5th, as Mud Hen, Zander Fletcher hits an RBI double plating Bruno Stenzel and Reilly Kells. Followed by a steal home from Thomas Williams and another run by DiMarco giving a strong 7 -2 lead to the Mud Hens. Relief pitchers Chance DiMarco doesn't allow any runs in the bottom of the fifth and Closer Thomas Williams finishes the game only allowing a fly out ending the game, giving the win to the Mud Hens, 8-3.

04/21/12 Majors Rangers v Orioles

 Solid pitching by Brad “Llama” Monroe in the first 3 innings keeps the Rangers scoreless.

Orioles’ Dash Hill puts the first run on the board off an RBI single by KJ Long in the first inning. Eli Blake scores for the Os in the 2nd inning off an RBI by Seth “Bones” Knorr. In the bottom of the 3rd, a Double RBI by Rake Volo scores Jabo Bonillas and Dash, followed by KJ with another RBI, scoring Llama. The Rangers make a come back in the 4th with a double by Ian Cook, single by Danny Smith, and a double by Hunter Baclig, eventually getting 4 runs on the board. Dash Hill on the mound stops the Rangers in their tracks, and closes the game for the Os, striking out 5 of 6 batters in the last two innings. Rake with an in-the-park homerun in the 5th inning scores 2 more runs for the Os. Blake with a single in the 6th, ends up scoring the last run for Os. Orioles win 8-4. May 5th Food Vendors

While you are at the field this Saturday enjoying the games make sure you stop on by the Snack Shack and enjoy what our food vendors have to offer.

Sweet Lou's BBQ will be there with some delicious BBQ but save room for dessert with some treats from Wafflicious. Pile high that waffle!

Little League Day at Angel Stadium—Sunday May 6, 2012 CA 

DISTRICT 62 LITTLE LEAGUE

Game Time: 12:35 PM vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Parking lot opens at 10:00 AM
Stadium Gates open at 11:00 AM
Parade begins at 11:10 AM
(Parade Ends at 11:55AM or as last team enters tunnel whichever comes first)
Parade assembly between Gate 6 and the Big A Parade participants will exit though left field
League President, or other League Officer, will organize your League’s parade participants
Parade Participants Must Have A Ticket in Possession to Re-enter
Parade participants must be limited to:
Little Leaguers in full uniform (No Cleats)
Limit of 2 adults per team:
(You may choose from Manager, Coaches and Team Mom)
Adults must wear team shirts
Stadium Security will be controlling adult access to the parade
No Family or Friends Allowed in Parade - No autographs allowed!
NO FOOD, DRINKS OR STROLLERS ALLOWED ON THE FIELD
Parents with tickets in any section will be allowed in the Field Section to take photographs during the parade, but must leave immediately after the parade
