The following awards were announced at the Sponsor's and Coaches Appreciation dinner on Wednesday February 26th, 2013:

• Don Franck Award - Brian Nestlerode

Awarded to an individual that has served for ten or more years in the STHA as a board member, coach, sponsor, etc. Don Franck is one of the original founders of the STHA, which started at Quaker Lake. He played and coached in the STHA and also served on the Board.

• Ramo Folli Award - Randy Warner

Awarded to an individual that has served for five or more years in the STHA as a board member, coach, sponsor, etc. Ramo Folli was also instrumental in forming the STHA and worked in many capacities for the organization.

• Cliff Hunter Award - Jon Klenovic

Awarded to the Coach of the Year. This goes to a coach who exemplifies the true meaning of coaching in all aspects of the game. Coaching ability, team spirit, leadership, rapport with parents and players are all qualities of this recipient. Cliff Hunter was an exceptional coach in the STHA who exhibited all of the mentioned qualities of a coach for years in the STHA.

• Special Service Awards - Awards for individuals that have provided contributions to the STHA during the season.

CONGRATULATIONS PEEWEE A  BINGHAMTON JR SENATORS!

The Binghamton Jr. Senators PeeWee A team won the Central Section tournament held in Morrisville, NY on February 22-24th.  The Jr. Sens opened the weekend beating previously undefeated Elmira by a score of 4-3, and finished the round robin play with a 2-1 record.  That pushed them into the semi-final game against also undefeated New Hartford.  The Sens won that game with a score of 4-3 and advanced to the championship round.  After being down 3-1 early in the 3rd period against Elmira, the Sens scored 4 times to take the championship game 5-3. This is the 3rd tournament championship for the team this season. The boys will travel to the Tier II 12U State tournament in Amherst, NY on March 8-10.

   2013 VETERANS DAY TOURNAMENT

The STHA and Binghamton Jr. Senators will be hosting a Veterans Day Tournament the weekend of November 9-11th for all PeeWee A and Bantam A State Bound travel teams.  Tournament fee is $900.

APPLICATIONS FOR 2015-2016 TRAVEL TEAM HEAD COACHES ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED!!

Anyone interested in being considered for a Travel Team Head Coach position for the 2015-2016 season must submit a completed Coaching Application and a Letter of Intent to the VP of Travel (Roy Wagner) no later than March 13, 2015.  Please refer to the STHA Travel Policy for additional details such as suggested letter of intent content, the coaches selection process and timeline of events.
