McDowell 2 State College 3 AAA
State College scored three goals including two by Stefan Hargas in the 3rd period to gain a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over McDowell in a PIHL game Sunday at Tullio Arena. Gus Martin and Eric Butler scored for McDowell

McDowell 3, Plum 3: At the Mercyhurst Ice Center, the Trojans squandered a three-goal lead and had to settle for a tie. McDoweel led 3-0 after two on goals by Jeff Clark, Eric Butler and Gus Martin. The Mustangs rallied for 3 in the 3rd period as Ben Hanus had a pair of goals.

North Allegheny 3 Canon McMillan 1 AAA Senior goalie Lindsay Holdcroft stopped 33 of 34 Canon-McMillan shots as the Tigers topped the Big Macs, 3-1. NA got first period goals from Eric Barger to take an early 2-0 lead.  After C-M scored in the second period,   Josh King tallied in the 3rd and Holdcroft held on for the key victory. Brett Oldaker scored for the Big Macs.
Kittanning 8 Bishop McCort 5 A Zach Revay scored twice to help Kittanning (17-2) clinch the PIHL Section 4-A title, while teammate Heinz Koster and Alex Fiscus each had goals and two assists.
South Park 0 Hampton 9 A Hampton's Alex Mueller continues his scoring tear with 3 goals and 3 assists to lead Hampton. Nick Pappert adds a hat trick and Adam Selvaggio adds 4 assists. Ian Wood, Dylan Hammer, and Joey Vita score a goal a piece. Brian Swain (2), Paul Stein, KC Swain, Dylan Hammer, Harrison Clark, and Ian Wood add single assists. Sam Wilson stops 25 shots for the shutout.

2011 Keystone State Games – Harrisburg, Pa.  

    The Keystone State Games will be held July 27-31st , 2011 at the Twin Ponds East Ice Complex in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This unique Olympic Style Competition gathers the best athletes in Pennsylvania to compete in a round robin format.

 

    The Keystone State Games Ice Hockey Tournament is a select group of Bantam, Midget, Junior Female and Junior Male Athletes from the East Region, Central Region, South Region and West Region to compete annually for Hockey Supremacy and the coveted Sharrer Cup. Since the early 1980’s, this Annual Event has hosted some great athletes including National Hockey League players Mike Richter, R.J. Umberger, Billy Thomas, John Zeiler and many other outstanding players who went on to compete in Major Junior and NCAA Division 1 Hockey.
