HOUSE HEAD COACHING APPLICATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED

Anyone interested in being considered for a head coaching position in the House Division for the upcoming season must submit their Coaching Application no later than August 31, 2012.  Please use Adobe Reader (free download) to fill out each section and save the completed PDF on your computer.  Email your application(s) to Rich Blake and Louis Giordano.

REGISTRATION FOR THE 2012-2013 SEASON IS NOW OPEN!

Player age groups and fees have been posted.  Financial assistance is available to qualified applicants via the Paul W. Edwards Scholarship and the Between the Pipes fund (both are open to ALL STHA players).

We have expanded our house age divisions to include separate divisions

for Bantams (Birth Year 1999 and 1998) and Midgets (Birth Year 1997,

1996, 1995 and 1994).  It is our intent to field four teams at both the House

Bantam and House Midget divisions.  Please help us reach that goal by

spreading the word of our newly expanded House divisions!

 Please note that there will be a $10 convenience fee added to the posted fees

for all payments made through PayPal.  If you have any questions regarding

any fees or balances due, please contact the Treasurer, Romney Shelepak.

PAUL W. EDWARDS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP 

The Paul W. Edwards Foundation is now accepting applications for their 2012/2013 Southern Tier Hockey Association (STHA) Scholarship. All applications must be received by September 7th, 2012 in order to be considered for the award. Scholarship recipients will be notified by September 14th, 2012. 

The Paul W. Edwards Scholarship Fund was created to benefit prospective and existing members of the Southern Tier hockey community. The scholarship fund continues to grow each year through funding from both private contributions and the proceeds from Paul W. Edwards Foundation fundraising activities. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded over $4000 to local residents. The fund provides residents of all USA Hockey age classifications (Mite through Midget) with the opportunity to have their STHA base fees covered by the scholarship. Each scholarship is considered a one year grant. The amount and number of scholarships awarded are determined by the foundation on a yearly basis. If awarded, a direct payment from the fund will be made to the STHA.

    BSENS OPEN HOUSE JULY 28TH

What: B-Sens Open House When: July 28th from 1pm to 3pm Where: Broome County Arena  The Binghamton Senators host the club’s 2012 Open House event on Saturday, July 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. The free event is open to the public and will feature entertainment, locker room tours, food and the opportunity to select season tickets for the 2012-13 American Hockey League season.    All seats currently held by season ticket holders will be clearly marked making visible those seats that are available to purchase for full season ticket packages. Current season ticket holders are welcome to arrive an hour early at noon. At that time, full season ticket holders will have the opportunity to make changes to their seat location and purchase additional tickets.    A number of local businesses will participate in the event to celebrate the upcoming hockey season. American Food and Vending will serve up select concessions.    Entertainment will feature a large bounce house inflatable for kids. Max the Mascot will be on-hand to greet fans, while members of the B-Sens staff will lead locker room tours.  The B-Sens will also have select merchandise available for purchase and will host a used equipment sale.  Stop by and see what the Sens have to offer in the way of used equipment to gear up for the upcoming hockey season
