2006 Registration

Registration will be held at the Kanata Sports Club at the following times:
Sunday February 19th between 7PM and 9PM Sunday February 26th between 7PM and 9PM Tuesday March 7th between 7PM and 9PM

You can save yourself some time by printing out the appropriate form and bringing the completed form and your cheque with you at registration time.

Returning players
New players

Note that returning players who indicate that they do NOT wish to be protected by their current team are automatically entered into the draft and cannot be taken out of the draft, i.e., the decision to enter the draft CANNOT be changed once the registration sessions are over.

League play runs from May through August, with playoffs in August and September. All teams play one regular season game per week for a total of 16 weeks. Teams are also guaranteed a minimum of three games at the mid-season tournament, which runs from Friday June 23rd through Sunday June 25th at the Bridlewood Core Park diamonds.

Regular season and playoff games are played at the A.Y. Jackson High School diamond in Kanata. Game nights are Monday to Thursday, with 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM game times.

The Registration Fee for the 2006 season is $130.00 and is payable by cash or cheque. Cheques should be made payable to the "Glen Cairn Men's Fastball League" or simply "GCMFL". Cheques can be post-dated to April 1st. We will also be looking to collect Team Sponsorship Fees. Sponsorship cost is $400.00 per team, again payable to the GCMFL. Please inform the Executive if your team is in need of a sponsor or if you know anyone interested in sponsoring a team.

The Annual General Meeting for the 2005 Glen Cairn Men's Fastball League season was held in conjunction with the year-end banquet on Saturday October 15th 2005 at The Kanata Sports Club. The AGM and year-end banquet are scheduled for Saturday October 15th at 6PM at The Kanata Sports Club. The league's Annual General Meeting will be held before the banquet. It will get underway at 6PM sharp; the banquet festivities will commence at the completion of the AGM. A light supper (pizza and subs) will be provided during the banquet portion of the evening. All those in attendance at the beginning of the AGM will be entered into a draw for free membership for the 2006 season. We will also be electing new executive members at the AGM, so any interested candidates should be in attendance. The AGM is the forum where all league members can have their say regarding the operation and rules of the league. Please plan to attend and help keep the GCMFL going strong for another 30+ years.
