This is a fun, friendly competitive tournament that we have been holding for as long as I have been a member which is 12+ years. There is also a Ladies fastball tournament taking place simultaneously. We have a beer tent/gardens serving food and beverage, located beside the main arena diamond which is great for relaxing and watching the games.

We ask for a $150 deposit to ensure your space. If interested in joining or have any questions, comments or concerns, please contact me at your convenience.

Tournament Update

Posted by Eric Rosenquist at Jun 14, 2008 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Update: Congratulations to Local Heroes who won the rescheduled "A" final on July 2nd, defeating Murray Refrigeration 5-3 in a close game that saw Murray's grab the lead in the first and keep it until the 4th inning when the Local Heroes bats came to life.

Congratulations to Medaglia Auto Imports who won the "B" final, defeating Amsted 8-3 in a storm-shortened game.

The "A" final between Murray Refrigeration and Local Heroes completed two scoreless innings when the rain hit again, forcing play to be halted. The "A" final will start from scratch at a later date.

Congrats to Ryan Bond (Murray Refrigeration) who won Saturday's home run derby on a day where it was not easy to hit one out of the park due to the high winds. Ryan defeated Mark Saunders and Darren Ladouceur in a sudden death overtime final round, hitting two home runs on two swings to claim the crown.

Players & pitchers wanted for tournament

Posted by Eric Rosenquist at Jun 9, 2008 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Our league is having its annual tournament this coming weekend, June 13-15th, at the Bridlewood Core Park diamonds. A number of our teams are short on players and a few are missing their starting pitcher. If you’re a fastball player or would like to give the sport a try, please send your contact information and softball resume to captains (at) gcmfl (dot) com.

The tournament has a 4 game guarantee, with one game Friday night (6:30 or 8:30), two Saturday, and one or two on Sunday. Cost for non-league players is $20 for the weekend. Batting helmets and long pants are required; metal cleats are permitted.
