 8U Spring Travel Team Tryouts

Monday, April 9th

We will be holding tryouts for our new 8 year old Spring NEBAS (Northeast Bergen All-Stars) Travel Team, this Monday, April 9th at PAVONE FIELD from 5-5:30pm.

• Only 12-15 players will be selected for Spring Team

• Players who did not make tryout due to vacation will be eligible to tryout for coaches separately with alternate arrangements made in advance

For 2012 SPRING NEBAS the Pee Wee League will be a Coaches Pitch League, exactly as we offer in the Summer for Pee Wee B NEBAS. This is done in order to get these players, (most of who have not played competative baseball before) ready for Summer Baseball. There will be standings and playoffs. All teams will play games until the season ends, whether they qualify for the playoffs or not, there will be scheduled games.

For more information on NEBAS, visit www.eteamz.com/nebas/

Additional Information was emailed to all Clinic League Players

Challenger Division

INTRODUCING

NEW MILFORD LITTLE LEAGUE’S

CHALLENGER DIVISION

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN...

TIME IS RUNNING OUT!

New Milford Little League is proud to begin its Challenger Division!

The Challenger Division was established in 1989 as a separate division of Little League to enable boys and girls with physical and mental challenges, ages 4-18, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in high school, to enjoy the game of baseball along with the millions of other children who participate in this sport worldwide.  Today, more than 30,000 children participate in more than 900 Challenger Divisions worldwide.  In New Jersey, only 44 towns participate in this program, but New Milford is proud to become number 45.

Teams are set up according to abilities, rather than age, and can include as many as 15-20 players. Challenger games can be played as tee ball games, coach pitch, player pitch, or a combination of the three.. The Challenger Division encourages the use of "buddies" for the Challenger players. The buddies assist the Challenger players on the field, but whenever possible, encourage the players to bat and make plays themselves. However, the buddy is always nearby to help when needed.

Parents and teenagers are strongly encouraged to become involved in this uniquely-rewarding division of Little League. After completing a Little League volunteer application and passing a required national background check, teenagers may become buddies, while parents may become involved in practices, and be eligible as coaches umpires, and other volunteer positions.

REGISTRATION FOR ALL PLAYERS IS FREE!
