Wednesday, October 20

Our final home game of the regular season and senior recognition is next Wednesday, October 20 at Macclesfield.  Once again, we need parents to volunteer their time during the JV or Varsity game.  If you can volunteer time or snacks, please contact Fran McDonald: fpsbmcd@verizon.net

Week of September 13-17

Posted by Kaitlyn Battiste at Sep 20, 2010 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Becca Kovalik (Senior Midfielder)

Becca has shown hard work and leadership in the midfield in a victory over Bensalem, and the lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Neshaminy.  Rotating between an attacking and holding midfielder, Becca was asked to win every 50-50 ball in the middle of the field and spark our offense.  Becca responded by working hard to delay the attacks of our opponents and quickly transition the ball upfield.

Alexa Moors (Freshman Forward)

Alexa has established herself as a threat in the forward position.  With a quick change in speed and a sweet touch, Alexa has a knack for finding the back of the net.  She recorded the first goal in a victory over Bensalem and provided a few dangerous opportunities in a short 18minute game against Neshaminy, before being called due to weather.

Philadelphia Union Ticket Sales

Posted by Kaitlyn Battiste at Sep 15, 2010 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
There are 50 tickets available to purchase for the September 25, Philadelphia Union game.  It starts at 4pm at PPL park.  Tickets are $30 each with part of the proceeds going to Pennsbury Girls Soccer.  Order forms need to be submitted to Coach Battiste by Friday, September 17 to reserve tickets. I have only heard confirmation from two players: Jones & Phillips.  Extra tickets will be distributed to the guys program this afternoon.

We are in need of parent volunteers for the snack stand on Monday, September 20 at Macclesfield.  First off, if any parents are interested in donating snacks and drinks it would be greatly appreciated.  Otherwise, reimbursements are always available, but we will still need parents to go out and make the purchases.

Additionally, we still need parents to run the snack stand during each of the games.  We have Varsity parents work during the JV game and JV parents work during the Varsity game.  I have heard from the following parents:

JV Game: Mr. & Mrs. Taylor, Mr. & Mrs. Formento, Joan Summers, MaryAnn Edwards, Congdon, Mr & Mrs. Burger

Varsity Game: Mrs. Meade, Peg Howe,  Aimee McMahon, Mr. & Mrs. Sweeney
