They have a bye on the final day of League Play Saturday, June 9th, and are the favorites in the upcoming Petaluma AAA City Championship Tourney which begins Monday, June 11.  Way to go DRays!image

Indians Win!

Posted by Tanya Sullivan at Jun 4, 2007 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
The Indians beat the Red Sox to capture the 2007 PALL Major Division Tournament Championship Monday night and it was one to remember. One very happy Indian hit his first Home Run... a Grand Slam!  (His first at bat was just a warm-up as he one hopped the fence for a ground rule double).  What a night!  Congratulations to the Indians on their stellar regular season record and their Tournament victory and to the Red Sox for their second place finish.

The Indians have opted to play in the District 35 Tournament Of Champions instead of the Petaluma Major City Tournament. We know they will represent PALL well and wish them luck.  Unfortunately, none of their games will be in PTown.

The other Major Division Teams will play in the second annual Petaluma Major City Tournament which opens this weekend with the "pool play" round at Petaluma American, Petaluma National and Petaluma Valley Little League fields. Each team plays four games during that round.  The top two teams in each pool will advance to a single-elimination round. Two "wildcard" teams with the best records will also advance to the single-elimination round.  Tournament Organizers are finalizing the schedule and will release it to Managers in a day or two. We will post it on the website as soon as possible so fans can turn out to support their favorite teams.  Seeding for the tourney was based on overall winning percentage from both the regular season and the PALL Major Division Tournament.  On that basis, here's how the teams are positioned:

Indians
Yankees
Red Sox
A's
Giants
Angels
Reds

This one features the Junior Division Giants and the Major Division Yankees. Enjoy! Click the WEB GEMS link on the left for more great pics. A big thank you to Clay Begrin of North Bay Sports Photography (www.NBSportsPhoto.com). Click his weblink for even more pics of the games he's photographed at PALL. The quality of these photos is stunning. They get a little fuzzy as they're turned into a YouTube video so be sure you check them out on his website.
The PALL Major Division Tournament begins today on Major Field. The Web Master will post results and game times for the next round soon (when she's done being the Buger Master). Here are the games that will be played today on Major Field: 9:00A (H) Yankees #2 vs (V) Reds #7 11:15A (H) A's #3 vs (V) Angels #6 1:30P (H) Giants #4 vs (V) Red Sox #5 Bye Indians #1

This is your final opportunity to request snack shack shifts and earn your refund before they're going... going... gone!

If you're enjoying the convenience of grabbing a hot dog, nachos, a cold drink or a ballpark treat at the Minor Field Snack Shack, we need your help to keep it going for the rest of the season.  All of the parents who wish to earn their $40/player Snack Shack Refund have been scheduled (as far as we know) and their support will keep the minor snack shack open through the final game of the A Division Season on Saturday, 6/2 with just a few exceptions.

AA and AAA Division parents, if you'd like to have the Minor Snack Shack Open during the Post-Season, we need your help.  Please contact Kelly Bruihl to schedule a shift.  Just click on the link to send her an email or give her a call at 707-765-2701 (evenings).

The Major Snack Shack food is awesome... award winning in fact :-)... but it's a bit of a hike.  Team Moms, this might be the time to organize a platoon to cover your games by rotating responsibility for set up (one hour prior), sales (2 hours during the game), and clean up (about 30 minutes after the last game).
