The first ever NSCAA National Goalkeeping course hosted by SCSC was a huge hit with everyone involved from the candidates to the NSCAA course instructor.  It was held July 25-27, 2008 at Southside High School under the great direction of NSCAA instructor Giovanni Pacini.  Coach Pacini has been a goalkeeping specialist at the highest levels of the game.  He currently coaches at Laselle College in Newton, MA, directs the MAKE THE SAVE (www.makethesave.net) goalkeeping academy, trained with Tim Howard at Everton FC this past winter, and has attained his NSCAA Master Coach Diploma.  Every candidate raved about how much they learned through Coach Pacini’s tutelage.

Twenty-four candidates came from Canada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, Michigan, and New York.
