Our Spring Academy program generally runs for the months of May and June.  Check back around late winter and early spring for further updates. 

 

Please keep in mind the following information. Most of our communication as far as cancellations and other information is done through email. Please make sure that we have the most updated email addresses. Also that you check them prior to Saturday's training.  

All games will be played @ Mckinnon Alves Soccer Complex located at 1 Monticello Place Pawt. Behind the Darlington Post Office on Monticello Road.

Also, There are NO Pets or Smoking Allowed on the field. Any cancellations please check your email, the website or hotline 729-9565 for updated information.

General Rules

 

 

Shin Guards, water bottle and appropriate size balls are required for practices.  Soccer balls are also required for U4 - U8 age groups at games.

Cleats are recommended for all age groups, especially older age groups but are not required. 

 

Each player must play a minimum of 50 % game time. We encourage players to play different positions.

NO Slide tackling  

NO Jewlery (taped or otherwise)

NO Toe cleats ( Football, baseball or all sport cleats)   

There will be throw- ins and corner kicks depending on the age group

U4     4v4    No Goalies  10 Minute Halves **Challenger Coaches will train

U6     4v4    No Goalies  10 Minute Halves  **Challenger Coaches will train

U8     5v5     Goalies       10 Minute Quarters

U10   6v6    Goalies       20 Minute Halves  Offside Rule

U12/ U15 Girls   8v8    Goalies       25 Minute Halves  Offside Rule (depending on the number of registrations)

U16 Coed  11V11 Goalies       25 Minute Halves  Offside Rule (depending on the number of registrations)

Substiutions U8 and under anytime

U10 and Up On a throw in FIFA rules..

 

Standings will be kept for U10 & up. Posted on website

Top 4 teams will play in Semi-finals the 9^th week.

Please make sure that you check your score cards that you sign for the referees. Make sure the score is correct and that you are signing the right spot. 

3pts Win, 1pt Tie, 0pt Loss.

The Storm Select Soccer Division organizes teams that may compete in a season

Fall (Rhode Island Youth "Super Liga" outdoor U8 and up), 

Winter (indoor) 

Spring (Rhode Island Youth "Super Liga"outdoor)

  Teams also may compete in tournaments throughout the region. 

Try outs are typically held in September.

Fees

Fees change from year to year (approximately $400.00)

You will be required to purchase a uniform approximately $90 (Includes, Shirt, Short and Socks)

Indoor/ Spring fees can be paid in installments or up front.

Once you have you have been accepted, the player will receive a call from the coach with information and actual fees.
