Lehighton Area High SchoolField Hockey Parents’ Club Meeting  July 7, 2008

 Plans were finalized for travel and accommodations regarding Camp at UNC.The bus will leave by 12:15 am. Players are asked to be at the high school parking lot at 11:30 pmXcaliber will also meet at the LAHS parking lot.It is suggested to bring a water jug (to be refilled at camp sessions), and 1-2 bottles of Gatorade and movies for the bus ride. There will be vending machines and food available at camp. Fans are not needed, but a blanket is suggested. A tip of $2.00 will be collected for the bus driver. Please remember your check of $45 for the key deposit.The team will board the bus for departure from UNC at noon. They will keep in touch with parents as they get closer to home regarding pick up time at the LAHS parking lot.The club decided to absorb an additional cost of $385 due to transportation changes. 

Cindy Berger is organizing a Pizza Hut Night. A profit of 20% will be awarded to the club for our general fund. 

Pam Arner suggested sponsors for the pasta dinners. She also is looking into having the dinners at the school. Tentative dates for the dinners are Sept. 19, 25, Oct. 3 and Oct. 10. 

Kick off Day is slated for August 23. Each grade has been designated the following donations: 
Shredded Lettuce and Shells have been donated by McDonald’s thanks to Mrs. Horn
Seniors: Cheese, Sour Cream
Juniors: Doritos, Hot Sauce
Sophomores: Ground Beef
Freshmen: Onions
Eighth Graders: Cut Tomatoes
Seventh Graders: Drinks (Iced Tea, Water)
Ice and Coolers will also be needed  
A sign with the following prices will be needed:
Soft Tacos: $2.00
Walking Tacos $1.50
Water: $1.00Soda: 75 Cents
Iced Tea/Lemonade: 50 Cents 
Next meeting will be August 12 at 6 pm at the field bleachers.
