Kentville Wildcats

With the arrival of spring the NSSBL is getting ready for the start of the season. The NSSBL and NBSBL are once again joining forces for an interlocking schedule, this season will mark the first planned Maritime Senior Championship. The league schedule is finalized and is posted under the schedule heading. The Wildcats kick off the season on the road in Halifax May 15th. The Dartmouth Moosehead Dry will visit Memorial Park Wednesday May 16th for the home opener.

Kentville Wildcats 2007 Season tickets are available now. You can join the Wildcats as they host 18 home games this season including 3 vs the NBSBL. Kentville plays host to each team in the NSSBL 3 times, and will also have Summerside, Chatham and Moncton in town. Season Tickets are $40 and are available now at R.D. Chisholm Ltd, 25 Webster Street in downtown Kentville.

The Kentville Wildcats and Sydney Sooners split a doubleheader today to open their best-of-five semifinal series. Kentville took Game 1, 11-4, with Sydney rebounding for a 6-5 decision in Game 2. The Dartmouth Moosehead dry beat Truro yesterday to clinch first place in the league. The Kentville Wildcats will face the Sydney Sooners in the first round of the playoffs, slated to start Saturday in Sydney. Halifax and Truro are still battling for the fourth and final playoff spot. With a Halifax win Monday afternoon versus Sackville, the Canadians can focre a one game playoff Tuesday night in Truro.
