The Chiefs’ veteran third baseman/designated hitter will begin his 13th ICL season in 2018.....Mike is quickly ascending the team's all-time career leader list in many offensive categories.......Begins the upcoming campaign fourth all-time in hits with 344, trailing leader Justin Crisafulli and ICL Hall of Famers Mike Langston and Mike Barnes on the prestigious list. He is also third in career RBI's with 205…...Had an outstanding 2017 campaign hitting .323 in the regular season with an overall 16 RBI in 30 games....Appeared in 29 games in 2016 and had eight RBI's...Eight time ICL all-star batted .310 during the 2015 regular season..... .Hit .346 and won his second ICL crown as a player in 2014, good for sixth best in the ICL and was fourth league-wide in RBI's with 20.....Was the starting DH in the 2014 and 2017 ICL all-star games.....Hit an overall .314 (33-105) in 2013, which included a .385 clip in the postseason….. Juan begins his seventh season with the Chiefs in 2018....Played in only one game in 2017 due to a back injury....Came to the club in 2012 after spending seven straight seasons in the Minnesota Twins organization......Had five homers in 2016.....Batted an overall .333 in 2015 with three homers and 22 RBI's....Began the 2015 season on the disabled list before being activated in late June....In 2014, Juan finished fifth in the ICL batting race while hitting .368 and had four homers and 21 RBI and won his second ICL Championship.....Hit .327 in 2013 as the Chiefs shortstop…..Won the ICL's Triple Crown in 2012 with five homers and 27 RBI and hitting an ICL league best .416, leading the Chiefs to the ICL championship......Juan was selected by the Twins in 15th Round of the 2004 MLB Draft.....Played a season of high school baseball at Malden High before being drafted......In his seven seasons with the Twins, he appeared in 666 games, had 634 hits, including 113 doubles, 17 triples and 61 homers......He appeared in 24 Major League games for Minnesota during spring training of 2010 hitting .333 with three homers and nine RBI...... Tony begins his sixth year in a Chiefs uniform in 2018......Had an outstanding 2018 campaign, leading the team in several offensive categories.....Hit an overall .358 (34-95) with a team best 25 runs scored....Started 34 games in centerfield in 2016 and had 30 hits, 27 walks, 7 stolen bases, and 10 RBI while batting an overall .294.....Leadoff hitter started 27 games in 2015 and batted .284 with 11 RBI and 11 stolen bases....Started 32 games in centerfield for the 2014 championship edition team and batted .324....... In 2013, he appeared in 34 games and led the Chiefs in hits (35) and stolen bases (10), while hitting .321…....Played four seasons at UMass-Amherst before graduating in 2013.......Was formerly a member of the North Shore Navigators of the Futures League in 2012.......Played in the Intercity League in 2010 & 2011 as an outfielder with the Testa Corp. Bombers......At UMass, he started all 44 games in the outfield as a junior and batted .287, accumulating a team high 50 hits along with 25 RBI, 20 runs scored, and 12 stolen bases. Tony also led the Minutemen with16 multi-hit games .....Played four seasons at Malden Catholic under Head Coach Steve Freker ... Helped the Lancers reach the Division I State finals during his senior season ...... He set the Malden Catholic record for career runs scored (107) and stolen bases (74) .....Batted .422 with 30 stolen bases and 45 runs scored during his senior campaign and held a .500 on-base percentage ...
