Just completed his four year pitching career at UMass-Amherst..... Served as the Minutemen's team captain this past spring....Returns to the Chiefs in 2010 after spending the last three summers in the NECBL....Appeared in 47 games on the mound for UMass and has struck out 174 batters in 237 innings during his college career... Threw a three-hitter and struck out 13 against Richmond this spring......Completed his college career on May 21 when he spun a complete game six-hitter against LaSalle.....Went 2-0 for the Chiefs as a rookie in 2006 with an ERA of 3.71...Jared was selected as a 2006 All-Scholastic while pitching for former Chiefs coach Steve Freker at Malden Catholic....Led Eastern Massachusetts in strikeouts with 119 in just 81 innings in the spring of 2006....Son of Donna and Robert Freni of Malden, MA image
Chiefs second year outfielder appeared in 37 games last summer hitting an overall .269 with a homer, 15 RBI and six stolen bases... He delivered six game winning hits in 2009 including the series clincher in the semi-finals against the Testa Bombers....Has started in the leadoff spot for D-3 power Wheaton College over the last two springs... Lefty is the son of former Milwaukee Brewer and Chiefs great Hank Landers. Hank played for the club from 1989-1998 and was part of four ICL championship teams.......Father is among the Chiefs all-time career leaders with 40 home runs (4th), 238 hits (7th) and 186 RBI (6th).....Hal was formerly a star quarterback at Salem, New Hampshire High School where he graduated from in 2008... image

Returns to the Chiefs active roster after being on the disabled list for the entire 2009 campaign with a knee injury....Appeared in just 14 games with four RBI's for the Chiefs in 2008 before the same injury cut his season short.......Was four year starting catcher and standout at Division 2 power Franklin Pierce, appearing in the NCAA D-2 College World Series three times and graduating in 2008... ...Has been affiliated with the Chiefs organization for many years in several capacities....Was an All Northeast-10 Conference second team selection in 2008 when he served as the Ravens team captain....... Batted .316 as a senior, good for 20th in the Northeast, driving in 31 runs and scored 33......In 2007, was a Northeast-10 first team selection starting 57 games for the Ravens hitting .329 with eight home runs and 49 RBI......Was a former Medford High star where he graduated from in 2004...Is also considered an outstanding defensive first baseman.... image
