(Malden, MA)- Veteran Paul Frisoli chalked up his first win of the season when the Chiefs doubed up the Melrose Americans 6-3 on Monday evening at Maplewood.

Frisoli (1-0) came on for starter Silas Reed with two outs in the fourth and worked the next 2.1 innings to get the win. A.J. Rourke struck out the side in the seventh inning to record his second save of the year.

Joe Bova (pictured) and Tyler Ferdinand each had two hits for the Chiefs.

With their third straight win the Chiefs improve to 8-4 on the season. They will host the McKay Club of the Yawkey League on Wednesday at 8:00 PM.

(East Boston, MA) The Chiefs got seven strong innings from veteran Tim Dunphy, who got help from Cameron Breault in the eighh and A.J. Rourke in the ninth, to come away with a hard fought 2-1 over the Middlesex Expos at East Boston Stadium on Tuesady night.

Dunphy allowed just one run and scattered six hits. Breault (1-0), who picked up the win, worked 1.2 scoreless innings with a couple of strikeouts. A,J. Rourke came on with two outs in the ninth to record the his forst save of the season.

Teddy Dziuba (pictured) led the Chiefs offense with a couple of hits and an RBI.

The now 7-4 Chiefs are off until Monday when they will host the Melrose Americans at Maplewood at 8:00 PM.

Chiefs Beat Stoneham Sabers, 8-5

(Malden, MA)- Luis Tejada (pictured) had a homer, two RBI’s, and scored twice, to lead the Chiefs past the Stoneham Sabers 8-5 at Maplewood on Monday night.

Nolan Lopes went three for three with an RBI and Ruben Rodriguez Jr added a couple of RBI’s.

A. J. Rourke (1-1) picked up the win with three innings of work in relief of starter Evan Walsh.

Nick Bartalini had a double and drove in two runs for the Sabers.

The Chiefs will visit the Middlesex Expos on Tuesday night at 8:00 PM at East Boston Stadium.

Boston Padres Rally Past Chiefs. 9-7

It was all Inter-League action for the ICL on Monday night.

The Middlesex Expos got three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning on an Ideson Taveras single and a John Baptista two RBI triple to edge the E.I. Braves 6-5 at East Boston Stadium.

Hayden Groh (1-0) got the win and Jonathan Rodriguez had three RBI’s in the Lexington Bulldogs 9-5 win over the McKay Club Beacons at English High School in Jamaica Plain.

Ryan O’Rourke (1-0) picked up the win with two innings of six strikeout relief when the Blue Sox shutout Mass Envelope/GM 10-0 in Lexington.

At Maplewood, the Boston Padres of the Boston Park League rallied past the Chiefs 9-7. Hector Pellot, Ruben Rodriguez Jr, and Claudio Simon each had two RBIs for the Chiefs. AJ Rourke (0-1) took the loss in relief of Silas Reed.

The 5-4 Chiefs host ADSL at Maplewood on Wednesday at 8:00 PM.

(Malden, MA)- Jonathan Rodriguez hit two solo homers to lead the Lexington Bulldogs to a 6-3 win over the Chiefs at Maplewood on Wednesday night.

Brenden Albert had a two RBI pinch-ht triple and Mike Sibert added three hits for the Bulldogs.

Tim Dunphy (2-1) got the start for the Chiefs and went six innings. The lefty allowed seven hits but only one earned run befotre giving way to Shai Cohen in the seventh.

Hector Pellot (2 hits) and Ruben Rodriguez Jr had RBI’s for the Chiefs.

Thursday’s game against the Blue Sox was suspended in the third inning with the Chiefs leading 1-0.
