Make It A Dozen: Chiefs Rout Palmer Club 20-6 for 12th Straight Win
(Roslindale, MA)- The Chiefs won their 12th straight game on Thursday night at Fallon Field in Roslindale when they beat the Boston Park League’s Palmer Club 20-6.
Veteran right-hander Paul Frisoli went the distance on the mound to pick up his second win of the year, Frisoli (2-0), scattered six hits and struck out seven batters.
The Chiefs unleashed a 24 hit offensive barrage led by Miles Reid (pictured) who went 4-4 with five runs scored, a double, a triple, and two RBI’s. Byron Woodman and Nolan Lopes both had four hits each in the game while Joe Bova (2 doubles) and Mitchell Schroeder each had three hits.
The winning streak is the longest since the 1997 season when the Chiefs won 12 games in a row on their way to a 28-2-3 regular season campaign and another ICL Championship.
The Chiefs, now 17-4, will travel to East Boston Stadium on Friday night for a date with the Knights at 8:00 PM.
