ONE PITCH JAMBOREE KICKS OFF 2011 SEASON
The 2011 season kicked off on Sunday with the One Pitch Jamboree, giving each team a chance to see their rookies in action, get some live swings, and enjoy the post-game bbq. The weather cooperated for the third year in a row and, once again, the bbq was hosted by the defending League Champion Mustangs.
Opening Day is on Tuesday, with Willis Tent playing Floral Arts and PST opening with the Mustangs. Games start at 6:30.
The season opening One Pitch Jamboree is scheduled for Sunday, May 1st. The BBQ will start shortly after the end of the first game and will run for the duration of the event.
The schedule for this year's Jamboree has been determined and will be as follows:
NOON Willis Tent @ Mustangs (As defending League champs, the Mustangs are once again the host team)
1:00 PM Drew Farms @ Floral Arts
2:00 PM Healy Oil @ Short Cut Landscaping
3:00 PM PST @ Mario’s Restaurant
The 2011 Entry Draft was held on Wednesday, April 6th. All applicants were placed this year and the team captains will be reaching out to each one with the appropriate information.
In the meantime, this spring's practice schedule has been posted on the web site and is now available.
Opening Day is also scheduled- Tuesday, May 3rd. The full 2011 schedule will be released shortly. In addition, the One Pitch Jamboree and BBQ will kick off the season on Sunday, May 1st.
Draft Applications Still Being Accepted
Despite a forecast which once again calls for snow, softball is back.
Registration for the 2011 draft is now open. The form can be found in the handout section of the site, accessible from the left navigation bar of this site.
Once completed, please return the form to the League Secretary at westford.over30SB@gmail.com. The deadline for submission is Friday, April 1st.
The draft is tentatively scheduled for Monday, April 4th.
