SCL Moves On

Posted by John Bodi at Sep 6, 2010 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

With one out and runners on first and second in the top of the seventh, Willis Tent elected to pitch to Mike Gross after having issued him an Intentional Walk his previous two at bats.  Gross responded by hitting a towering home run to left-center, turning a 5-4 deficit into an 7-5 lead.  SCL added another HR later in the inning.  A rally in the bottom of the seventh netted Willis a single run, not enough to stave off elimination.

On the strength of this 8-6 win, SCL moves on to face the regular season champion Mustangs on Wednesday night at 6:30.  The second game features Floral Arts and PST at 7:45.
