OTS 75's Win Championship at 2011 Olney Tournmant
The 2011 Olney Bill Tait Invitational Softball Tourney
OTS sent three age group teams to the 2010 Olney Tournament and all were very competitive. The highlight for OTS was the Championship of the 75 plus team (Remax Real Estate) managed by Mike Carta and Pete Rendina. The 70m plus team (Millville by the Sea) managed by John Bokop, the heartbreak team, lost two games by one run in late innings and won it last game by two runs. The 65 team (Harrington Casinos) of Bo Wood lost it first two games by two runs and its final game to the age group champion by four runs. OPT can be proud of its Teams
Highlights of the OTS players on the 75 Team. Peter Rendina and Jimmy Wright led the offense hitting .818 and 727 respectively. Bob Sheaffer and George Hunt had key hits and played the outfield with their usual efficiency. Sal Corrallo played well at catcher and had two key hits. Infielders Frankie Williams was perfection at first and Bob Longordo hit and fielded well on third. This was a full team effort as each was awarded a trophy along with a large one for the sponsor.

Dynamic PT Wins it All

Today they defeated the last team to beat them in the regular season, Ocean View Family Restaurant, 9-8. before a large gathering of OTS players and fans on Field 2. Earlier Dynamic defeated Precision Sportswear, in two extra innings, 10-9. The fans were provided with two thrilling games, both not decided until the final inning. Ocean View earned the right to play for the championship by beating B&E Tires and Custom Woodworking earlier in the day. While Precision beat Millville by the Sea before losing to Dynamic. As expected the highest seeded teams were in the finals. There were no upsets in the Tournament. Check the Albums link for pictures of the Tournament.
