2019 marks the first year of the Olde Tymers Softball Hall of Fame. Nine inductees were announced at the Opening Day ceremonies.

The Hall of Fame Induction Banquet is being held Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the American Legion Post #28 in Millsboro. Tickets are available at the concession stand at the fields – $15 per person, $25 per couple.

You may have noticed some changes to the website if you haven’t been here for a while. Work is still on-going, but hopefully you’ll notice some things you’re used to.

We now have our Welcome Message displayed, and the menus across the top will get you to the league standings and scores. You’ll also see our sponsors down the right side, and on the left side, you can access our documents such as league schedules, rosters and by-laws.

Our missing teams have been recovered and the standings now show the correct team records.

Our Eteamz based website has been ported to a TeamPages based website.

Things certainly look different and there is an unresolved problem with two teams not surviving the transition which results in missing game scores and inaccurate standings. The TeamPages support team is working on resolving that issue.

We’re working to make the new website easy to navigate, but it will take some time.

Olde Tymers Softball of Delmarva is a recreational slow-pitch softball league for players 60 years of age and up. Games during the season are played in Sussex County in lower Delaware on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9:00 am, 10:30 am and 12:00 noon on the Church of God fields at the intersection of Route 113 and Route 26 in Dagsboro. Enter the fields from Route 26 west of Route 113 by turning right at Hickman Street (the first gravel road past the American Legion). The Church of God has requested that the entrance to the church off Rt. 113 not be used to access the fields.

This site provides basic information on the league. It includes information on registration, practices, schedule, location of games, league standings, social activities and tournament opportunities for league members and sponsors. Registration for 2019 has started. You can download the Registration Letter and Form by clicking on the handout below.

Winter Ball is being played when the weather and field conditions permit. If you want to be added to the email distribution list for Winter Ball, click here. 

Open practices will be held on Monday mornings on the COG Fields starting around April 1.  Players looking to improve their game in batting, running, fielding and throwing and new players wishing to test their skills before joining the league are welcome and encouraged to attend these practices.  New players are welcome here.
