Time to Start?

Posted by John Cartwright at Mar 1, 2007 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )
We will start Practices after the Time change. This will give us an extra hour of day light to use. (It's next week when the time changes.) Starting now is not practical; it is dark by the time we get there.

We will start them at 6pm. and they will last about 2 hours or until dark. 1 to 2 times per week.

We will also have some Saturday practices. Times will vary.

Please have Bats and Gloves ready to go.

New Players

Posted by John Cartwright at Mar 1, 2007 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )

New players will have additional training to get them "up to speed".

Fever players played 12 & Under Fall ball last fall to get use to playing under the new rules.

This will be a one on one training, at the Ball Fields. We will have several of the players there with the coaches. We will train them on the new rules and for any New Players we will get them familiar with the game.

Fall Ball

Posted by John Cartwright at Jun 8, 2006 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
We are currently signing up the Fall Team. I NEED TO KNOW ASAP if you are interested in playing this fall. Fall ball is for learning ONLY. We don't keep stats or scores. It is totally geared for learning. There is structured play with umpires, but we place players where we need the practice the most. Everyone helps! Umpires assist with learning the rules, advise us where players need help the most, or are lacking in skills and point out their strengths and weaknesses, etc. Other Team's Coaches will step in and help when needed. Parents will take part too. Fall Ball is two teams coming together to PLAY BALL for the experience. Coaches, players and the parents will all learn form this experience. For anyone that is moving "UP to 12 & Under" Fall Ball is a must. There will be several changes in how we play next year. I.E. Dropped 3rd strike, stealing home, stealing more than one base, and lots more. In Fall Ball we play with no restrictions, just like they will be playing when they move up. For the girls that will be staying in the 10 & Under this is a great learning tool for them as well. It gives them the experience that will set them above the other players in their league. It will also get them ready for the 12 & under rules when they move up. We will play teams that are less experienced than us and those that are in the Competitive Metro League as well. Depending on where the league is (Claremore or Owasso) will determine the amount of experience we receive. Please let me know if you are interested in playing Fall Ball. Depending on how many players join will indicate if we have to merge with another team. Thanks John Cartwright image
