2016 Farm and T-Ball Teams - President's Plea for Managers
Farm and T-Ball teams are will be formed next week after registration closes on Feb. 14. The kids URGENTLY need your help.
Alameda Little League currently has enough kids registered for Farm to make 14 teams and could use 1 to 2 more managers. T-Ball has enough registered players to make 10 teams but are short by about 5 managers. Without your help, approximately half of the T-Ball players will not be able to play and about 26 Farm division kids will not be able to play.
Managing a Little League team can be a lot of fun. You will find it to be personally rewarding. The time commitment for these two divisions is small, only 1 practice and 1 game per week. Alameda Little League will provide training and guidance. There is a FREE hands-on coaching clinic in Oakland this Sunday from 8:30 - 11:30 geared especially for this group. Can you spare 4 hours per week to give back to the community?
Regards,
Alameda Little League

Intermediate Division returns for the 2016 season! During its inagural season last year, our players won the District 4 Tournament of Champions and District 4 All Stars tournaments. For those not familiar with the Intermediate Division, it was created by Little League International four years ago with 70 foot baselines instead of 60 and a 50 foot distance from mound to plate instead of 46 feet specifically to provide a transition for 13 year olds before they advance to the ultimate distance of 90 foot bases.
It is critical that you register earlier than you may have done in the past because this Division has to know the number of teams in order to schedule games with other Leagues in our District.
Registration for ages 4 through 12 remains open until mid-January.
