It's still not too late to register for Summer Camps. There is a 10 Week Schedule of Baseball and All-Sports Camps held at Alameda Little League Fields. On June 28, Nate Firestone, long-time Alameda Little League Manager, was awarded the "Uncle Abe" award "For selflessly transferring the love of baseball to the young people in his community." The award was presented at the Public House during Marty Lurie's pre-game radio show on KNBR (AM 680). As part of the award, Alameda Little League will receive $2500 from the Lefty O'Doul's Foundation. There will also be an eternal plaque hung at Lefty O'Doul's in San Francisco. Congratulations Nate!
