 In the Varsity Wesley Laytham 800m run at the Eric Nelson Classic, Von Steuben Sophomore Bruce Anaclet won it with an official time of 2:08.55. Northside Senior Tom Frejowski dropped 13 seconds (2:23.21) to finish in SECOND place with an outstanding time of 2:10.72. Tom Frejowski ran the first 400m in 60.40 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 70.32 for an official time of 2:10.72. Tom Frejowski will be awarded a MEDAL for finishing in second place overall. Northside Senior Max McCoy earned a MEDAL by finishing in third place with an official time of 2:19.50. Max McCoy ran the first 400m in 63.01, and then ran the final 400m in 76.49 seconds for an official time of 2:19.50. Von Steuben Junior Paulo Aco finished in fourth place with an official time of 2:20.83. Northside Junior Brendan Powers earned a RIBBON by finishing in fifth place with an official time of 2:23.05. Brendan Powers ran the first 400m in 63.49 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 79.56 seconds for an official time of 2:23.05. Chicago Bulls Alejandro Manzo finished in sixth place to complete the scoring with an official time of 2:24.42. imageimageimage
 In the Varsity Wesley Laytham 800m run at the Eric Nelson Classic, Northside Freshman Kyle Lowenthal dropped 10 seconds (2:35.04) to finish in seventh place with a PERSONAL BEST time of 2:25.89. Kyle Lowenthal ran the first 400m in 71 seconds, and then ran the 400m in 74 seconds to finish in 7th place with a personal best time of 2:25.89. Lowenthal was the fastest Freshman in the Varsity 800m run at the Eric Nelson Classic. Lowenthal had a big time drop in the 1600m run, too. Northside Senior Harry Winters finished in 14th place with an official time of 2:41.90. Harry Winters ran the first 400m in 74 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 87 seconds for an official time of 2:41.90. Northside Sophomore Vladimir Andrade finished in 15th place with an official time of 2:42.84. Vladimir Andrade ran the first 400m in 76 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 86 seconds for an official time of 2:42.84. Northside Freshman Mason Sotomayor finished in 17th place overall, and was the fourth fastest freshman in the 800m run with an official time of 2:44.82. Mason Sotomayor ran the first 400m in 75 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 89 seconds for an outstanding time of 2:44.82.  imageimageimage

 The Northside School Record for the 4x200m Relay has lasted since 2010 (1:36.50, Spartan Relays). The record was held by Alumni legends Nathaniel Agharese (Stanford), Hunter Speese (Notre Dame), Neal Capapas (Indiana), and Mac Melto (DePaul).

 In the Varsity 4x200m Relay, Chicago Leo (Jamil Green, Tyler Goodwin, Harvey Moss, Zuriel Cook) won it with an official time of 1:34.98. The Chicago Northside Mustangs BROKE THE SCHOOL RECORD to finish in SECOND place with an official time of 1:36.36. Northside Junior Steven Kataba ran a 200m split of 24.27, and made a nice exchange to Keith Jones. Northside Junior Keith Jones ran a 200m split of 24.23, and made a good exchange to Justin Washington. Northside Junior Justin Washington ran a 200m split of 24.37, and made a nice exchange to Garret Barch. Northside Junior Garret Barch anchored Northside to SECOND place, and a NEW SCHOOL RECORD with an impressive 22.83 200m split for an official time of 1:36.36. Steven Kataba, Keith Jones, Justin Washington, and Garret Barch were awarded WATERMELONS in practice on Thursday for BREAKING THE SCHOOL RECORD in the 4x200m Relay. Steven Kataba, Keith Jones, Justin Washington, and Garret Barch were also awarded MEDALS for finishing in second place in the 4x200m Relay. Steven Kataba, Keith Jones, Justin Washington, and Garret Barch will also receive Plaques at the June 5, 2015 Northside Track & Field Banquet for breaking the school record in the 4x200m Relay! Northside Sprints Coach Vernon James did an outstanding job with the 4x200m Relay.

 Chicago Bulls College Prep finished in third place in the 4x200m Relay with an outstanding time of 1:39.69. Roosevelt finished in fourth place with an official time of 1:40.22. Von Steuben finished in fifth place with an official time of 1:59.04.
