 In the Sophomore 1600m run, Northside Sophomore Kyle Friedler ran the first 400m in 71 seconds, and then ran the next 400m in 74 seconds (2:25 800m split), and then ran the next 400m in 75 seconds (3:40 1200m split), and then ran the final 400m in a NEGATIVE split of 71 seconds to finish in SECOND place with an outstanding time of 4:51.58. Kyle Friedler ran the first 800m in 2:25, and then ran the final 800m in 2:26 for an official time of 4:51.58. Kyle Friedler was awarded a Red Ribbon for finishing in second place overall. Northside scored 18 points in the Sophomore 1600m run!

 Elmwood Park Sophomore Lucasz Mordarski finished in third place with an official time of 4:52.14. Geneva Sophomore Jordan Evans finished in fourth place with an official time of 4:53.46. Geneva Freshman Boon Andrews finished in fifth place with an official time of 4:53.70. Dundee Crown Freshman Hurgoi Anthony finished in sixth place to complete the scoring with an official time of 4:57.82.

 Prior to Saturday, six northside athletes (Malcolm Grba, Danny Rosen, Kyle Friedler, Alex Ortiz, Troy Hu, Adrian Black) had run a sub-five minutes 1600m this season. At the Mike VanDeever Invitational, Senior Max McCoy became the seventh Northside athlete to run under five minutes for the 1600m run this season! It is the most athletes in TEAM history to break the five minutes barrier in a season.

 In the Varsity 1600m run, Northside Senior Max McCoy ran the first 400m in 67 seconds, and then ran the next 400m in 74 seconds (2:21 800m), and then ran the next 400m in 76 seconds (3:37 1200m), and then ran the final 400m in a NEGATIVE split of 75 seconds for a PERSONAL BEST time of 4:52.87. Max McCoy passed Alumni legend Dan Kittaka (4:54) on the Northside 1600m All Time list with the 20th fastest 1600m run time in Northside history! Max McCoy ran the first 800m in 2:21, and then ran the final 800m in 2:31 for a personal best time of 4:52.87.

 In the Varsity 1600m run, Northside Junior Danny Rosen ran the first 400m in 65 seconds, and then ran the next 400m in 71 seconds for an 800m split of 2:16. Danny Rosen ran the next 400m in a NEGATIVE split of 70 seconds for a 1200m split of 3:26. Captain Danny Rosen ran the final 400m in another NEGATIVE split of 66 seconds to WIN the 1600m run with an outstanding time of 4:32.01. Danny Rosen ran the first 800m in 2:16, and then ran the final 800m in an EVEN split of 2:16 to WIN the 1600m run with an official time of 4:32.01. Danny Rosen was awarded a GOLD MEDAL for winning the 1600m run!

 Burlington Central Junior Nick Harvey finished in second place with an official time of 4:37.27. Geneva Sophomore Tyler Dau finished in third place with an official time of 4:39.52. Geneva Senior Mitchael Deamantopulos finished in fourth place with an official time of 4:41.36. Dundee Crown Junior Logan Hayes finished in fifth place with an official time of 4:44.48. Waukesha North Sophomore Michael Juarez finished in sixth place to complete the scoring with an official time of 4:48.10.
