 In the Varsity High Jump, Glenbrook North's TJ Weinzimmer won it with a leap of 5'10. Glenbrook North's Sejin Seo finished in second place with a leap of 5'4. Highland Park's Casey finished in third place with a jump of 5'4. Northside Junior Asher Rappaport finished in FOURTH place with a PERSONAL BEST jump of 5'2. Northside Junior Josh Aladesuru finished in FIFTH place to complete the scoring with a PERSONAL BEST jump of 5'0. Aladesuru is a great addition to the Northside Track & Field Team. Northside Junior Elias Decker jumped an outstanding 4'10. Northside Junior Gus Kuhnen made three outstanding attempts at the opening height of 4'8, but was unable to clear it.

 After the High Jump, Team scores were Highland Park 52, Glenbrook North 52, and Northside 30.

 In the Varsity 55m Low Hurdles, Highland Park's Motew won it with an official time of 7.90. Glenbrook North's Nick Duelfer finished in second place with an official time of 7.96. Glenbrook North's Aron Gros finished in third place with an official time of 8.16. Highland Park's N. Kirsch finished in fourth place with an official time of 8.20. Glenbrook North's Kwonsung Lee finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with an official time of 8.39. Northside Junior Asher Rappaport hurdled an outstanding time of 8.96. Northside Senior Jack Nolan hurdled an official time of 9.14. Northside Junior Elias Decker hurdled an official time of 9.63. Northside Junior Nick Brown hurdled an official time of 12.18. Northside Junior Xan Quang hurdled a season best 13.81.

 In the Varsity Triple Jump, Glenbrook North's Joel Zimmerman won it with a jump of 36'9.5. Highland Park's N. Kirsch finished in second place with a jump of 36'6. Glenbrook North's Johann Kim finished in third place with a jump of 35'3.25. Northside Senior Jack Nolan finished in FOURTH place in Triple jump with a leap of 33'3.5. Northside Junior Elias Decker finished in FIFTH place to complete the scoring with a Triple jump of 33'0. Northside Junior Nick Brown finished in sixth place with a personal best jump of 30'11. Northside Junior Osama Hassan jumped a personal best 28'7.

 After the 55m Low Hurdles and Triple Jump, Team scores were Glenbrook North 69, Highland Park 64, Northside 33.

Kyle Friedler WINS 1600m!

 In the Varsity 1600m, Northside Senior Kyle Friedler WON the 1600m run with an outstanding time of 4:37.00. It was the fastest time a Northside athlete had ever run on Glenbrook North's 160m Indoor Track. Kyle Friedler ran 160m splits of 25, 28, 28, 28, 28 (2:17 800m split), 28, 27, 28, 29, and then ran the final 160m in a NEGATIVE split of 28 seconds for an official time of 4:37.00. Kyle Friedler ran the first 800m in 2:17, and then ran the final 800m in 2:20 for an Indoor best time of 4:37.00. Prior to the 2017 Spartan Indoor Classic, the fastest Kyle Friedler ran for the Indoor 1600m was 4:40.70 (2016 Maine East Blue Demon Invitational), and his fastest Outdoor 1600m was 4:35.13 (Spartan Relays). Highland Park's Amster finished in second place with an official time of 4:42.3. Highland Park's J. Rosenfled finished in third place with an official time of 4:46.3. Highland Park's Glazier finished in fourth place with an official time of 4:49.50. Glenbrook North's Michael Lee finished in fifth place to complete the scoring in the 1600m run with an official time of 4:59.00.

 In the Varsity 1600m run, Northside Junior Jacob Yosowitz finished in SIXTH place with an outstanding time of 5:00.34. Jacob Yosowitz ran 160m splits of 27, 29, 30, 32, 31 (2:29 800m), 31, 30, 30.34, 30, and then ran the final 160m in an EVEN split of 30 seconds for an impressive time of 5:00.34. Prior to the Spartan Indoor Classic, Jacob Yosowitz best indoor time was 5:21.00 (2016 Niles North Viking Relays), and his best outdoor time was 4:59.69 (2016 Lake Forest Scouts Invitational). Yosowitz had an incredible performance at Glenbrook North.

 Northside Senior Sergio Soto ran the first 800m in 2:31, and then ran the final 800m in 2:41 for an outstanding time of 5:12.30. In 2016, Sergio Soto's fastest Indoor 1600m time was a 5:30.00. Sergio Soto has dropped 18 seconds from 2016 to 2017!

 Northside Sophomore Kris Ushijima ran the first 800m in 2:32, and then ran the final 800m in 2:41 for a Personal Best time of 5:13.40. Kris Ushijima dropped 9.60 seconds off his best time (5:23.00).

 Northside Senior Marcelo Lozano ran the first 800m in 2:54, and then ran the final 800m in a NEGATIVE split of 2:51.21 for a Personal Best time of 5:45.21.

 After the 1600m run, Team scores were Highland Park 73, Glenbrook North 70, Northside 39.
