 In the Varsity 4x160m Relay, Highland Park (Greenwood, Crawford, Davis, Menaker) edged Glenbrook North at the finish line for first place with an official time of 1:20.50. Glenbrook North (TJ Weinzimmer, Michael Karb, Marek Wasilczuk, Kamil Barabas) finished in second place with an official time of 1:20.51. Northside finished in third place with an official time of 1:22.15. Northside Captain Nick Brown ran the first leg of the relay with an outstanding 19.97 160m split, and made a PERFECT exchange to Carel Jones. Northside Junior Carel Jones ran the second leg of the relay in an impressive 19.80 160m split, and made a good exchange to Jadd Oweimrin. Northside Junior Jadd Oweimrin ran the third leg of the relay with an oustanding 20.29 160m split, and made a nice exchange to Mason Sotomayor. Northside Junior Mason Sotomayor anchored the Mustangs to THIRD place with a 21.59 160m split for an official time of 1:22.15.

 After the 4x160m Relay, Team scores were Highland Park 33, Glenbrook North 31, Northside 22.

 In the Varsity 400m, Glenbrook North's Michael Ocasek won it with an official time of 56.46. Glenbrook North's Daniel Milgram finished in second place with an official time of 56.70. Highland Park's Weisenthal finished in third place with an official time of 58.40. Northside Senior Jay Borgwardt finished in FOURTH place with an official time of 59.14. Northside Junior Guy Lahoua finished in FIFTH place to complete the scoring with an official time of 59.63. Northside Senior Cole Makuch dropped SIX seconds from King of the Quarter (66.41) to finish in SIXTH place with a PERSONAL BEST time of 60.35. Northside Sophomore John Kim ran an outstanding time of 62.02. Northside Senior Jack Webster ran an outstanding time of 63.13. Northside Sophomore Norberto Nieves ran an official time of 64.90. Northside Freshman Jeronimo Najarro ran a PERSONAL BEST time of 66.58.

 After the 400m, Team scores were Glenbrook North 41, Highland Park 36, Northside 25.

 Northside Senior Cole Makuch is off to an impressive start to the 2017 Track & Field season. He has become a corner stone for the Northside 4x800m Relay, earned a 30 consecutive Pull-ups T-shirt in the weight room, and recently dropped six seconds off his 400m time!

 Northside Senior Jack Webster obtained four personal bests in one Track meet! At Glenbrook North, he ran an 800m PR of 2:25.21, Shot Put PR of 26'10.5, 400m Indoor PR of 63.13, and 160m PR of 22.76.

 In the Varsity Shot Put, Highland Park's Auerbach won it with a throw of 40'10. Highland Park's Stezek finished in second place with a throw of 40'5. Highland Park's Sereda finished in third place with a throw of 40'2. Northside Junior Matthew Gardner finished in FOURTH place with a personal best throw of 39'8. Matthew Gardner is closing in on the Northside School Record for Shot Put. The Record is held by Alumni legend Eric Nelson (43'5, 2008 CPS Indoor Championships). Glenbrook North's Rosenberg finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with a throw of 39'3.5. Northside Junior Daniel Agbeo improved by 1'10 (34'0) with a PERSONAL BEST throw of 35'10. Northside Junior Matthew Kosova threw an oustanding 33'9. Northside Senior Jack Webster improved by 0'9.5 (26'1) with a PERSONAL BEST throw of 26'10.5. Northside Senior Cole Makuch threw the shot put an official distance of 24'8.

 Team scores after the Shot Put were Highland Park 49, Glenbrook North 42, Northside 27.
