On Wednesday, February 15, 2017, the Northside College Prep Varsity Mens and Sophomore-Freshman Boys Track Teams traveled to Glenbrook North High School in Northbrook, Illinois for the Spartan Indoor Classic.

The Spartan Indoor Classic featured Central Suburban league powers, Maine West, Highland Park, and host Glenbrook North. In 2016, Glenbrook North's IHSA State qualifiers included a 7:53.70 4x800m Relay, 23'00.50 in the Long Jump, 6'3 in the High Jump, 1:27.76 4x200m, and a 3:21.94 in the 4x400m Relay.

The meet was completed very efficiently, and had non-stop action on the Track, which put the crowd on their feet at all times, and created a fun atmosphere for all participating Teams.

A special thanks to Glenbrook North Head Coach Scott Lasky, Assistant Coaches Steve Gross (37th year of coaching), Vincent, Griffin, Kurtis, and Brown for hosting an outstanding meet.

It was also a very friendly atmosphere as several reunions took place throughout the meet. Northside Head Coach Jon Gordon attended Glenbrook North from 1986-1990, and is a member of their athletic college wall of fame.

The meet was scored only on the Varsity level, in an effort to provide non-stop action on the track. The following point scale was used for individual events: 6-4-3-2-1, and 6-4-2 was used for scoring relays.
