Northside Junior Charlie Guthmann finishes in THIRD place in the 800m run at the Eric Nelson Classic!
Northside Junior Carel Jones finishes in FOURTH place in the 800m run at the Eric Nelson Classic!
In the 800m run, Northside Senior Kyle Friedler finished in SECOND place with an official time of 2:10.03. Northside Junior Charlie Guthmann finished in THIRD place with an official time of 2:10.76. Northside Junior Carel Jones finished in FOURTH place with an outstanding time of 2:17.00. The performances of Friedler, Guthmann, and Jones in the 800m run, helped the Mustangs pull ahead of Leo in the TEAM standings by scoring a combined 18 points!
Carel Jones is one of the Mustangs cornerstones in all of the Sprint Relays, 4x100m, 4x200m, and 4x400m, and now the 4x800m Relay is in his future! Northside Alumni legend Philip Wdowiak is the last Northside athlete to compete in every relay. Carel Jones prepares for Track season by running Cross Country in the Fall, and he has the speed of a sprinter and the edurance of a distance runner.

Jay Borgwardt, Brandon Banas, Osazee Osaghae, and Guy Lohoua WIN 4x200m Relay at the Eric Nelson Classic!
The 4x200m Relay at the Eric Nelson Classic is named after School Record holders, IHSA State Qualifiers, and Alumni legends Steven Kataba, Garret Barch, Justin Washington, and Keith Jones.
In the 4x200m Relay, Northside Senior Jay Borgwardt, Senior Brandon Banas, Sophomore Osazee Osaghae, and Junior Guy Lohoua WON it with an outstanding time of 1:34.50. Jay Borgwardt, Brandon Banas, Osazee Osaghae, and Guy Lohoua will receive PLAQUES for winning the 4x200m Relay! Chicago Bulls College Prep finished in second place with an official time of 1:36.43. Leo High School finished in third place with an official time of 1:38.28. University High School finished in fourth place with an official time of 1:42.30. Amundsen finished in fifth place with an official time of 1:45.75. Von Steuben finished in sixth place to complete the scoring with an official time of 1:45.81.
