 On Friday, March 19, 2010, the Northside College Prep Mustangs traveled to River Park Track in Chicago, Illinois to take on the Mather Rangers in a one mile race.

 Northside Sophomore Taylor Kuehn WON it with an outstanding time of 5:17. Taylor Kuehn ran the first 800m in 2:37, and then took the lead, and ran the final 800m in 2:40 for an outstanding time of 5:17.

 Northside Sophomore Alexander Seibt DROPPED 13 SECONDS for a personal best time of 5:25. Alexander Seibt ran the first 800m in 2:43, and then ran a NEGATIVE SPLIT of 2:42 on the final 800m for a personal best time of 5:25.

 Northside Junior Eduardo Herrera finished third for the Mustangs with a PERSONAL BEST time of 5:47.  

 Northside Freshman Brendan Kelly ran a PERSONAL BEST time of 5:48.

 Northside Freshman Calvin Gang ran a PERSONAL BEST time of 5:50.

 Northside Sophomore Pedro Juarez ran a PERSONAL BEST time of 5:51.

 Northside Junior Zach Rosenberg ran an outstanding time of 5:54.

 Northside Freshman Patrick Brennan ran an outstanding time of 6:01. 

 Northside Junior Luis Gaytan and Junior Michael Loftus both ran an outstanding time of 6:02.

 Northside Freshman Alex Bologna ran an outstanding time of 6:23.

 Northside Junior Kevin Aguilar ran a PERSONAL BEST time of 6:34.

 Northside Freshman Andy Voung ran a PERSONAL BEST time of 7:06.

 Northside and Mather Varsity distance runners cheered on athletes from both Teams. It was an outstandince race. A special thanks to Mather Head Coach Dale DeVinney for organizing the first outdoor Mile race of the season!

 On Tuesday, March 16, 2010, Northside Alumni legend Dan Kittaka visited the Northside Mustangs at River Park Track, and shared words of wisdom with the TEAM, as the Northside Mustangs prepared for the 2010 Indoor Chicago Public School Championships!

 Dan Kittaka was a former Captain of the Northside Cross Country and Track Teams, and a 2006 Patrick J. O'Connor Leadership Award Winner. He graduated from Northside College Prep in 2006. 

 In June 2007, Dan Kittaka was chosen from thousands of college Freshman applicants across the Nation, by the United States Olympic Committee, for demonstrating the pusuit of excellence with his achievments in academics, sports, leadership, and community service. Dan Kittaka was chosen by the United States Olympic Committee to attend a Leadership conference with the Nation's best business and athletic leaders. In August 2007, Dan Kittaka was flown for "free", to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, as part of a Leadership Conference, which featured, among others, Olympic Gold Medalist Billy Mills. Most recently, Dan Kittaka was one of the top finishers in a race up the John Hancock Building, covering over 94 floors. Dan Kittaka graduated from the University of Illinois, in only three years.

 After addressing the TEAM, Dan Kittaka ran with the Northside Varsity Distance runners, as they prepared for the 2010 Indoor Chicago Public School Championships!

 Northside College Prep is a member of the CPS Conference. The CPS Conference hosts the largest indoor conference track meet in the State of Illinois. 

 The 2010 Indoor CPS Track & Field Championship Meet will take place on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at historic Henry Crown Field house. Henry Crown Field house features an NCAA 200m Track, with six lanes. Outside of Europe, Henry Crown Field house is the only Track in the United States with G-Flex surfacing. G-Flex Tracks are designed and built to the demands of the world's top athletes. 

 The meet will commence at 4 pm, and will include the following Teams: Ace Tech Charter, Agricultural Science, Austin Community High School, Bogan, Bowen, Calumet, Chicago Math & Science Academy, Chicago Vocational, CICS-Longwood, Corliss, Crane Tech Prep, Curie Metro, Du Sable, Dunbar, Fenger, Frederick Douglas Academy, Gage Park, Gwendolyn Brooks, Hancock, Harper, Hirsh Metro, Hubard, Harlan, Jones College Prep, Kelly, Kenwood Academy, King, Lake View, Lincoln Park, Little Village, Manley, Marshall, Simeon, Senn, North Lawndale, Northside College Prep, Orr Academy, Robeson, Payton, Prosser, Raby, South Shore, Taft, UIC College Prep, Uplift, Urban Prep, Von Steuben, and Wendell Phillips.

 The meet will be scored on the following point scale: 10-8-6-4-2-1.

 Trophies will be awarded to the top two teams. Medals will be awarded to first through sixth place finishers of each event. In case of a tie in any event, the points will be split and the participants will flip for the medal.

  Northside College Prep Varsity entries have been posted under "Student of the Sport". The Indoor Sophomore-Freshman Championships will take place in Bensenville, Illinois at Fenton High School on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. 

 The bus will depart from Northside College Prep on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at 2 pm, for Henry Crown Field House, at 5550 South University Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. 

 Spectators and fans are encouraged to arrive early to the meet, because the stadium is expected to fill to its capacity. A special thanks to CPS Track & Field Coordinator, Thomas Smith for organizing and hosting, the best indoor meet in Chicago, year after year.

 Athletes and/or relays that hit qualifying marks at the 2010 Indoor City Championships, will go to the Indoor State Meet (Illinois Prep Top Times) on Saturday, March 27, 2010, in Bloomington, Illinois.

 On Wednesday, March 10, 2010, the Northside Varsity Men traveled to Bensenville, Illinois to Bison Stadium for the Fenton Indoor Classic. Fenton is the home of the Metro Suburban Conference Track and Field Champions. Fenton has won the Metro Suburban Conference Track & Field Championships, two of the last three years, and famous alumni include Olympian Jim Spivey. 

 The Fenton Indoor Classic featured Gordon Tech, Conant, Northside College Prep, and host Fenton. Individual Events were scored 6-4-3-2-1, and Relays were scored 6-4-2.

 Northside College Prep, Fenton, and Conant pulled away early in the meet from Gordon Tech (47 points), and it came down to the final three events in the meet to determine the winner. Three teams were seperated by less than 5 points going into the final two events. It was one of the most exciting track meets of the season. Fenton edged Northside by a final score of 63.5 to 62.5. A special thanks to Fenton Head Coach John Kurtz for hosting an outstanding meet.

 In the High Jump, Conant's Ben Bowers won it with a jump of 6'5. Northside Senior Hunter Speese finished in second place with a jump of 5'6. Fenton's Frank DiLauro finished in third place with a jump of 5'6. Northside Sophomore Dan Graham and Fenton's Conrad Gainski tied for fourth place to complete the scoring with a jump of 5'0. Northside Sophomore Josh Williams jumped 4'10. Northside Freshman Nathaniel Agharese jumped 4'10.

 In the Long Jump, Conant's Shivam Patel jumped 19'9 to win it. Northside Sophomore Josh Williams jumped a PERSONAL BEST jump of 17'11.5 to place second overall. Conant's Brian Hudgions jumped 17'11 to place third overall. Conant's Joseph Mazurkewitz jumped 17'9.5 to place fourth overall. Conant's Michael Castrella jumped 17'9 to complete the scoring and place fifth overall. Northside Sophomore Derek Lin jumped 17'2. 

 In the Triple Jump, Northside Sophomore Josh Williams WON it with an outstanding jump of 35'1. Northside Sophomore Derek Lin placed second overall with a jump of 34'7. Northside Sophomore Dan Graham placed third overall with a jump of 32'5.

 In the Pole Vault, Fenton's Lucas Linder won it with a vault of 10'6. Fenton's Dan Mikos placed second overall with a vault of 9'6.

 In the Shot Put, Fenton's Mike Wojcek won it with a throw of 47'3.5. Conant's Steve Suffredin finished in second place with a throw of 46'2. Conant's George Nelson finished in third place with a throw of 45'4.5. Fenton's Freddie Joyner finished in fourth place with a throw of 40'10. Conant's Tim Fudala finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with a throw of 39'8. Northside Senior Andrew Czyszczon improved 4'0 with a PERSONAL BEST throw of 36'5.5!!! Czyszczon could reach the 40'0 barrier by the indoor city championships. Northside Junior Jameel Ahmed threw an oustanding 26'1.5. Northside Junior Mohammed Ahmed threw a personal best 25'11. Northside Junior Ottmar Flores threw a personal best 25'6.25.

 In the Sophomore-Freshman Shot Put, Northside Sophomore Cody Rios placed fourth overall with a throw of 32'1. Freshman Brandon Licuanan threw an outstanding 23'3. Freshman Kapil Garg threw 21'3. Freshman Rohail Memon threw 21'0.

 In the Track events, Fenton features a unique Track, which is 13 laps for a mile, and 26 laps for two miles. The configuration of the Track, enables athletes to receive their splits every 135 yards of the race!

 In the 4x800m Relay, Northside Sophomore Pat Duffy ran a 2:26 800m split on the first leg of the relay. Pat Duffy ran 135 yards splits of 20, 22, 23, 23, 24, 23, and a split of 11 seconds on the final 67.50 yards for an 800m split of 2:26. Northside Sophomore Dan Graham ran a 2:32 800m split on the second leg of the relay. Dan Graham ran 135 yards splits of 21, 24, 24, 26, 21, 24 and a split of 12 seconds on the final 67.50 yards for an 800m split of 2:32. Northside Sophomore Alex Seibt ran a 2:33 800m split on the third leg of the relay. Alex Seibt ran 135 yards splits of 22, 24, 24, 25, 24, 23 and a split of 11 seconds on the final 67.50 yards for an 800m split of 2:33. Northside Junior Eduardo Herrera ran 135 yards splits of 21, 24, 26, 25, 29, 26 and a split of 14 seconds on the final 67.50 yards for an 800m split of 2:45 on the fourth leg of the relay. Northside Junior Eduardo Herrera ran a 2:45 800m split, to anchor the Mustangs to 4th place overall with a total time of 10:17.74.

 In the 4x135 Yards Relay, Northside finished in fourth place with a time of 1:10.31. Northside Junior Ottmar Flores ran a 135 yards split of 17.12 on the first leg of the relay. Northside Junior Jusuf Skelic ran a 135 yards split of 16.65 on the second leg of the relay. Northside Junior Jameel Ahmed ran a 135 yards split of 18.24 on the third leg of the relay. Northside Senior Sam Olver ran a 135 yards split of 18.30 on the fourth leg of the relay, for a total time of 1:10.31.

 In the Sophomore-Freshman 4x135 Yards Relay, Northside Sophomore Luis Mesa ran a 135 Yards split of 18.44 on the first leg of the relay. Northside Freshman Brandon Licuanan ran a 135 Yards split of 17.07 on the second leg of the relay. Northside Sophomore Cody Rios ran a 135 Yards split of 18.84 on the third leg of the relay. Northside Sophomore Richard Do ran a 135 Yards split of 18.95, to anchor the Mustangs to third place with a total time of 1:13.30.  

 In the 3200m run, Northside Junior Erik Zuehlke WON it with an outstanding time of 11:20. Erik Zuehlke ran 135 yards splits of 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 28, 27, 26, 26, 27, 26, 24, 26 (5:40 Mile), 28, 24, 26, 26, 28, 28, 29, 28, 27, 26, 24, 24, and negative split of 22 on the final 135 yards to WIN it with an outstanding time of 11:20. Erik Zuehlke ran a 5:40 on the first mile, and an EVEN split of 5:40 on the second mile for an official time of 11:20. Fenton's David Carroll finished in second place with a time of 12:16.1. Northside Junior Eduardo Herrera finished in third place, and earned his first Varsity letter by scoring in a Varsity meet, with a personal best time of 13:42. Eduardo Herrera ran the first mile in 6:32, and then ran the final mile in 7:10 for a personal best time of 13:42. In his first meet of the season, Northside Freshman Alex Bologna finished in fourth place, and also earned his first Varsity letter by scoring in a Varsity meet, with a time of 15:14. Freshman Alex Bologna ran the first mile in 7:05, and then ran the final mile in 8:09 for a season best time of 15:14.

 In the 50 Yards High Hurdles, Conant's Ben Bowers won it with an outstanding time of 6.9. Bowers also won the high jump with a jump of 6'5. Fenton's Dan Mikos finished in second place with a time of 7.6 Conant's Piraino Steven finished in third place with a time of 8.1. Northside Sophomore Derek Lin placed fourth overall with a personal best time of 8.2. Northside Senior Andrew Czyszczon finished in fifth place overall to complete the scoring with a personal best time of 9.0. Northside Junior Mohammed Hossain ran an outstanding time of 9.3.

 In the 50 Yards Dash, Gordon Tech dominated it. Gordon Tech's Fuhad Akinbiy won it with a time of 5.5. Fenton's Jason Lobojko finished in second place with a time of 5.6. Gordon Tech's Felix Oppong finished in third place with a time of 5.7. Gordon Tech's Andre Birkus finished in fourth place with a time of 5.7. Gordon Tech's Andy McKenzie finished in fifth overall to complete the scoring with an outstanding time of 5.8. Northside Senior Hunter Speese ran an outstanding time of 5.9. Northside Freshman Nathaniel Agharese ran a time of 6.0. Northside Junior Ottmar Flores ran a time of 6.40. Northside Sophomore Jusuf Skelic ran a time of 6.45. Northside Senior Sam Olver ran a time of 6.60. Northside Junior Jameel Ahmed ran a time of 7.10.

 In the Sophomore-Freshman 50 Yards Dash, Conant dominated it. Conant's Darius Cunningham won it with a time of 5.9. Conant's Jacoby Sims finished in second place with a time of 6.0. Conant's Kevin Otuby finished in third place with a time of 6.1. Fenton's Adrian Johnson finished in fourth place with a time of 6.2. Gordon Tech's Jorge Robn finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with a time of 6.2. Northside Sophomore Richard Do ran a time of 6.45. Northside Sophomore Cody Rios ran a time of 6.80. Northside Sophomore Luis Mesa ran a time of 6.84. Northside Freshman Rohail Memon ran a time of 7.60. Northside Freshman Alex Park and Freshman Horrais Pervaiz did not show up to the meet.

 In the 800m run, Northside Captain Wesley Laytham won it with an outstanding time of 2:14.65. Weslay Laytham ran 135 Yards splits of 17, 19, 19, 22, 23, 23, and 11 seconds on the final 67.50 yards, for an outstanding time of 2:14.65. Conant's Dyanna Nikhil finished in second place with a time of 2:19.5. Conant's Matt Rajawski finished in third place with a time of 2:25.5. Fenton's Pat Bowles finished in fourth place with a time of 2:28.8. Conant's Steven Pirano completed the scoring by finishing in fifth place with a time of 2:29.1.

 In the 4x270 Yards Relay, Conant held off Northside at the finish with an official time of 2:17.3 to win it. Northside finished in second place with an official time of 2:18.51. Fenton completed the scoring by finishing in third place with an official time of 2:22.1. Northside Freshman Nathaniel Agharese ran a 270 yards split of 34.05 seconds on the first leg of the relay, and made a nice exchange to Sophomore Josh Williams. Josh Williams ran a 270 yards split of 33.30 seconds on the second leg of the relay, and made a perfect exchange to Sophomore Jusuf Skelic. Jusuf Skelic ran a 270 yards split of 34.31 seconds on the third leg of the relay, and made a nice exchange to Sophomore Dan Graham. Dan Graham anchored the Mustangs to second place overall, with a 270 yards split of 36.80 seconds for a total time of 2:18.51. This relay, consisting of all Sophomores and Freshman, finished in second place in the Varsity division!!, and would have won the Sophomore division by 7 seconds! Northside's school record in the 4x200m of 1:38.93, is definitely going down this year.

 In the Sophomore-Freshman 4x270 Yards Relay, Conant won it with an outstanding time of 2:25.70. Northside finished in second place with an official time of 2:37.80. Northside Sophomore Luis Mesa ran a 270 Yards split of 37.56 on the first leg of the relay. Freshman Brandon Licuanan ran a 270 Yards split of 39.36 on the second leg of the relay. Sophomore Cody Rios ran a 270 Yards split of 40.33 on the third leg of the relay. Sophomore Richard Do ran a 270 Yards split of 40.55 on the fourth leg of the relay, to anchor the Mustangs to second place with a time of 2:37.80.

 In the 400m Dash, Gordon Tech's Joshua Willis won it with a time of 60.20. Fenton's Ray Brown finished in second place with a time of 60.50. Gordon Tech's Socrates Montiel finished in third place with a time of 61.90. Fenton's Ray Thomas finished fourth place with a time of 62.90. Conant's Mark Zielinski finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with a time of 64.90. Northside Junior Ottmar Flores ran an outstanding time of 70.18. Northside Junior Andres Delgado did not show up to the meet. Northside Sophomores Pat Duffy and Dan Graham had to be pulled out of the event, because they were needed as replacements in multiple relays. The Mustangs were left with only one athlete for the 400m Dash. A lot of untapped points were lost by Northside in this event. With an expanding roster for the Outdoor season, this will be a temporary setback.

 In the 50 Yards Low Hurdles, Northside dominated it, by taking three of the top five places. Conant's Joseph Mazurkewitz won it with an outstanding time of 7.1. Northside Sophomore Derek Lin placed second overall with a personal best time of 8.1. Fenton's Chris Butz finished in third place with a time of 8.6. Northside Senior Andrew Czyszczon finished in fourth place with a time of 8.6. Northside Junior Mohammed Hossain completed the scoring by placing fifth overall with a personal best time of 8.8. Northside Junior Mohammed Ahmed ran an outstanding time of 10.00.

 In the Sophomore-Freshman 50 Yards Low Hurdles, Northside Sophomore Luis Mesa placed fourth overall with an outstanding time of 9.6.

 In the Mile, Northside Captain Cooper Eben won it with an outstanding time of 4:53. Cooper Eben ran the first 800m in 2:23, and the final 800m in 2:30 for an outstanding time of 4:53. Cooper Eben ran 135 Yards splits of 20, 21, 23, 22, 23, 23, 22, 24, 22, 24, 24, 22, and 23 for an outstanding time of 4:53. Fenton's Rob Howe finished in second place with a time of 5:00.7. Conant's Troy Cunningham finished in third place with a time of 5:03.4. Fenton's M.J. Harkin finished in fourth place with a time of 5:13. Northside Sophomore Alexander Seibt completed the scoring by finishing in fifth place with a time of 5:31.9.

 In the 200m Dash, Gordon Tech's Felix Oppong won it with a time of 25.5. Gordon Tech's Andre Birkus finsihed in second place with a time of 26.1. Conant's Bobby Igtomasi finished in third place with a time of 26.5. Fenton's Jason Lobojko finished in fourth place with a time of 26.5. Conant's Michael Lastrella finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with a time of 26.6. Northside Senior Sam Olver dropped 1.30 seconds for a personal best time of 30.20.

 In the 4x405 Relay, Gordon Tech won it with a time of 3:36.7. Conant finished in second place with a time of 3:40.8. Northside finished in third place with a time of 3:41.72. Fenton finished in fourth place with a time of 3:52.0. Northside Sophompre Jusuf Skelic ran a 55.77 split on the first leg of the relay. Northside Freshman Nathaniel Agharese ran a 56.61 split on the second leg of the relay. Northside Sophomore Pat Duffy ran a 54.85 split on the third leg of the relay. Northside Junior Wesley Laytham anchored the Mustangs to third place overall with a 54.49 split, for a total time of 3:41.72.

 On Friday, March 5, 2010, the Northside Varsity Men traveled to Henry Crown Field house at the University of Chicago for the University High Indoor Classic. Individual points and relays were scored on the following point scale: 10-8-6-4-2-1.

 Henry Crown Field house featured an athlete friendly atmosphere, upper deck seating, and the best 200m Indoor Track in Chicago. Henry Crown Field house has been the host to numerous National meets, and local Championship meets as well. The Varsity letter was invented in the1890s by Amos Alonzo Staqgg as he was sitting on the entrance stepts to Henry Crown Field house. The main wall of the stadium contains a list of field house records, which include several Olympians. The first Heisman Trophy winner (1935), Jay Berwanger is still listed on the all time list for Henry Crown Field house for the 55m dash. Henry Crown Field house is a Chicago landmark that is rich in Track & Field history.

The University High Indoor Classic at Henry Crown Field house, featured Wheaton Academy, North Shore Country Day, Mather, St. Francis Parker, Jones College Prep, St. Ignatius, Northside College Prep, Ace Tech Charter, Latin of Chicago, and host University High. A special thanks to University High Head Coach Bud James and staff for hosting an outstanding meet.

 St. Ignatuis College Prep won the University High Indoor Classic with 104 points. Mather finished in second place with 62 points. Northside College Prep finished in third place with 61 points, and posted victories over: University High (52 points), North Shore Country Day (32 points), Wheaton Academy (29 points), Jones College Prep (18 points), St. Francis Parker (12 points), Latin of Chicago (2 points), and Ace Tech Charter (0 points).

 In the Long Jump, St. Ignatius Senior Evans Thornton won it with an outstanding jump of 18'01. Northside Sophomore Josh Williams placed second overall with an outstanding jump of 17'3.5. St. Ignatius Senior Glenn Martin placed third overall with a jump of 17'2. North Shore Country Day Sophomore Carlos Hunter placed fourth overall with a jump of 16'7.50. Northside Sophomore Derek Lin placed fifth overall with a jump of 16'7.  In the Triple Jump, Mather Sophomore Shakell Rosario won it with an outstanding jump of 38'02.00. Northside Sophomore Josh Williams placed second overall with an outstanding jump of 36'01.25. St. Ignatius Junior Robert Avena placed third overall with a jump of 34'10. Northside Sophomore Derek Lin placed fourth overall with an outstanding jump of 34'00.50. Northside Junior Noel Lopez placed fifth overall with an outstanding jump of 33'05.00. St. Ignatius Junior Michael Lenoch placed sixth overall to complete the scoring with a jump of 31'03.00.  In the 4x800m Relay, Northside Captain Wesley Laytham ran the first 400m in 63.00 seconds, and the final 400m in 64.96 to give the Mustangs the lead with an 800m split of 2:07.96 on the first leg of the 4x800m relay, and made a perfect exchange to Sophomore Pat Duffy. Pat Duffy ran the first 400m in 69 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 70 seconds, for an outstanding 800m split of 2:19.72 on the second leg of the relay, and made a nice exchange to Sophomore Dan Graham. Dan Graham ran the first 400m in 69 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 78 seconds, for an outstanding 800m split of 2:27.81, and made a nice exchange to Junior Danny Sobor. Danny Sobor ran the first 400m in 71 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 76 seconds, for an outstanding 800m split of 2:27.50, to anchor the Mustangs to fourth place overall, with a total time of 9:22.40.

 In the 4x200m Relay, Northside Freshman Nathaniel Agharese ran the first leg of the relay in a 200m split of 25.88, and made a nice exchange to Sophomore Josh Williams. Josh Williams ran the second leg of the relay in a 200m split of 26.31, and made a nice exchange to Junior Noel Lopez. Junior Noel Lopez ran the third leg of the relay in a 200m split of 26.16, and made a nice exchange to Senior Hunter Speese. Northside Senior Hunter Speese outkicked Mather's Shaw to the finish with a 200m split of 25.57 to anchor the Mustangs to third place overall, with a total time of 1:43.92.

 In the 3200m Run, Wheaton Academy Senior Michael DeRenzo won it with an outstanding time of 10:08.91. Northside Captain Cooper Eben dropped 5 seconds and ran a PERSONAL BEST time of 10:16.37 to place second overall! Senior Cooper Eben also tied Northside distance legend Patrick O'Connor with a 10:16 on the Northside Two miles all time list! Cooper Eben ran the first 400m in 74 seconds, and then ran the next 400m in 76 seconds for an 800m split of 2:30, and then ran the next 400m in 77 seconds for a 1200m split of 3:47, and then ran the next 400m in 78 seconds for a Mile split of 5:05. Cooper Eben ran the next 400m in 78 seconds for a 2000m split of 6:23, and then ran the next 400m in 80 seconds for a 2400m split of 7:43, and then ran the next 400m in 79 seconds for a 2800m split of 9:02, and then ran the final 400m in a NEGATIVE SPLIT of 74 seconds for a PERSONAL BEST time of 10:16.37! Wheaton Academy Senior Kent Smith finished third overall with a time of 10:20.12. St. Ignatius Freshman Jack Keelan finished in fourth place with an outstanding time of 10:25.99. Mather Sophomore Juan Mendez finished in fifth place with a personal best time of 10:28.18. Northside Junior Erik Zuehlke DROPPED 22 SECONDS off his PR, and ran a PERSONAL BEST TIME of 10:49.35! Junior Erik Zuehlke also passed Northside legends Taylor Kuehn and Preston Buehrer on the Northside Two miles all time list! Erik Zuehlke ran the first mile in 5:18, and then ran the final mile in 5:31 for a personal best time of 10:49.35. In the second heat, Northside Sophomore Alex Seibt WON it with an outstanding time of 12:35.75. Alex Seibt ran the first mile in 6:29, and then ran the second mile in a NEGATIVE SPLIT of 6:06  to win the second heat with an outstanding time of 12:35.75. Northside Junior Zach Rosenberg finished in second place, in the second heat with an outstanding time of 12:44.59. Zach Rosenberg ran the first mile in 6:30, and then ran the second mile in a NEGATIVE SPLIT of 6:14 for an outstanding time of 12:44.59. The five minute barrier is the bench mark for elite high school milers. After running a personal best time of 10:49 in the 3200m run, Northside Junior Erik Zuehlke continued his outstanding day, by breaking the FIVE MINUTE BARRIER for the first time with a personal best time of 4:59.18. Erik Zuehlke ran the first 400m in 72 seconds, and then ran the next 400m in 74 seconds for an 800m split of 2:26, and then ran the next 400m in 78 seconds for a 1200m split of 3:44, and then Erik Zuehlke made history by running a NEGATIVE SPLIT of 75 seconds to BREAK THE FIVE MINUTE BARRIER with a PERSONAL BEST time of 4:59.18. Northside Junior Danny Sobor ran a personal best time of 5:20. Danny Sobor ran the first 400m in 77 seconds, and then ran the next 400m in 81 seconds for an 800m split of 2:38, and then ran the next 400m in 83 seconds for a 1200m split of 4:01, and then ran the final 400m in a NEGATIVE SPLIT of 79 seconds for a personal best time of 5:20. Northside Sophomore Alex Seibt ran a personal best time of 5:38.83.  In the 4x400m Relay, Northside placed sixth overall with a time of 4:02.62. Northside Junior Noel Lopez ran the first 400m in 57.27 seconds, and then made a nice exchange to Senior Andrew Czyszczon. Andrew Czyszczon ran a 400m split of 64.12 seconds and made a nice exchange to Sophomore Josh Williams. Josh Williams ran a 400m split of 61.03 seconds and made a perfect exchange to Sophomore Pat Duffy.  On Saturday, February 27, 2010, the Northside Sophomore Boys traveled to Skokie, Illinois for the Niles West Wolves Invitational. The meet featured Northside College Prep, Waukegan, Driscoll, Foreman, Loyola Academy, and host Niles West. 

  Northside College Prep scored 101 points!!! Loyola Academy edged Northside 144-101. The point scale used was 10-8-6-4-2-1.

 In the Shot Put, Northside Sophomore Cody Rios placed third overall with a throw of 33'0. Northside Sophomore Pedro Juarez IMPROVED 10'0 with a personal best throw of 24'3.5. Northside Freshman Kapil Garg threw a personal best 24'0. Northside Freshman Horrais Pervaiz threw a personal best 18'0.

 In the Long Jump, Northside Sophomore Josh Williams jumped 16'5.75 to place second overall. Northside Sophomore Derek Lin jumped 16'4.75 to place third overall.

 In the Triple Jump, Northside Sophomore Josh Williams WON it with a PERSONAL BEST jump of 37'3.5. Northside Sophomore Derek Lin finished in third place with an outstanding jump of 34'10.75. Northside Sophomore Dan Graham finished in fourth place with a personal best jump of 34'2.

 In the 1000m run, Northside Sophomore Alex Seibt dropped 7 seconds for a personal best time of 3:18. Northside Sophomore Pedro Juarez dropped 6 seconds for a personal best time of 3:21.

 In the 55m High Hurdles, Northside Sophomore Derek Lin placed fourth overall with a personal best time of 9.94. Northside Sophomore Luis Mesa placed fifth overall with a time of 11.94.

 In the 50m Dash, Northside Freshman Nathaniel Agharese placed third in his heat, and fifth overall with a personal best time of 6.70. Northside Sophomore Luis Mesa ran a time of 7.06. Northside Sophomore Cody Rios ran a personal best time of 7.50.

 In the 800m run, Northside Sophomore Pat Duffy dropped seven seconds and placed sixth overall with a season best time of 2:19.7.

 In the 4x160m Relay, Northside finished in third place with a time of 1:34.72. Northside Freshman Horrais Pervaiz ran a 25.12 160m split on the first leg of the relay. Northside Sophomore Luis Mesa ran a 22.14 160m split on the second leg of the relay. Northside Sophomore Cody Rios ran a 23.93 160m split on the third leg of the relay. Northside Sophomore Alex Seibt anchored the Mustangs to third place overall with a 23.53 160m split, and a total time of 1:34.72.

 In the 600m run, Northside Sophomore Dan Graham dropped five seconds, and placed second overall with a personal best time of 1:42.1.

 In the 400m Dash, Northside Sophomore Pat Duffy placed third overall with an outstanding time of 61.62.

 In the 55m Low Hurdles, Northside Sophomore Derek Lin placed seventh overall with a personal best time of 9.66. Northside Sophomore Luis Mesa ran a personal best time of 10.65.

 In the 1600m run, Northside Sophomore Alex Seibt was scratched due to a calf injury.

 In the 200m Dash, Northside Freshman Nathaniel Agharese won his heat, and placed fifth overall with a personal best time of 25.70.

 In the Thrower's Relay, Northside finished in third place with a time of 1:46. Northside Freshman Kapil Garg ran a 160m split of 30.00 on the first leg of the relay. Northside Sophomore Pedro Juarez ran a 160m split of 26.00 on the second leg of the relay. Northside Freshman Horrais Pervaiz ran a 160m split of 26.00 on the third leg of the relay. Northside Sophomore Cody Rios ran a 160m split of 24.00 on the fourth leg of the relay, to anchor the Mustangs to third place with a time of 1:46.

 In the 4x400m Relay, Northside finished in third place with a time of 4:10.02. Northside Sophomore Josh Williams ran the first 400m in 60.34 seconds and made a nice exchange to Sophomore Dan Graham. Dan Graham ran a 64.92 400m split on the second leg of the relay, and made a nice exchange to Freshman Nathaniel Agharese. Nathaniel Agharese ran a 63.79 400m split on the third leg of the relay, and made a nice exchange to Sophomore Pat Duffy. Northside Sophomore Pat Duffy ran the final 400m in 60.97 seconds, and anchored the Mustangs to third place overall with a time of 4:10.02.
