Track is 200m (8 laps to a mile!) – Mondo Superx Surface! Spikes ARE allowed at the All Star Meet!
The Varsity Indoor City Championship is designed to determine a Champion and there is an emphasis on competition as opposed to participation. All Chicago Public schools enter their best athletes, and only get one entry per event per school.
Teams: All Chicago Public High Schools
One Level: Varsity Only, One Entry per Event per Team
Field Events: Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, and Shot Put
Awards: Medals to the Top 6 in every individual event and/or relay.
The Northside Varsity Boys have finished in the Top 2 in the CPS Indoor City Track & Field Championship for THREE consecutive years! (2011, 2012, and 2013).

Track is 135 Yards (13 Laps for a Mile) – No Spikes allowed.
Teams: Northside College Prep, Fenton, Niles North, Buffalo Grove,
St.Joseph, Lake Park, West Chicago, and Gwendolyn Brooks.
One level: Sophomore/Freshman, two entries per Event per Team.
Awards: Plaques to the Top 4 in every individual event and/or relay.

Athletes that qualify for the Illinois Prep Top Times Invitational (Indoor State Championships) by hitting an automatic qualifying time/mark in an individual event and/or relay, will represent Northside College Prep at the Illinois Prep Top Times Invitational! The meet will take place at Illinois Wesleyan University’s Indoor Track & Field Stadium (Shirk Center) in Bloomington, Illinois.

Teams: Northside College Prep, Roosevelt, Leo, Henry Ford High Power Academy,
Von Steuben, Solorio Academy, and Taft.
One Level: Varsity – SIX entries per Event per Team. One relay per Event per Team.
Awards: The meet will feature the Mac Melto 400m run, Josh Williams Long Jump, Lucien Fitzpatrick 110m Hurdles, Lucien Fitzpatrick 300m Hurdles, and the Wesley Laytham 800m run at the Eric Nelson Classic. Plaques will be awarded in the 800m run in honor of Northside Alumni Wesley Laytham. Plaques will also be awarded in the 400m run in honor of Northside Alumni Mac Melto. Plaques will also be awarded in the Long Jump in honor of Northside Alumni Josh Williams. Plaques will also be awarded in the 110m Hurdles and 300m Hurdles in honor of Lucien Fitzpatrick. Plaques will also be awarded in the High Jump in honor of Northside Alumni Eric Nelson. Plaques will also be awarded in the 4x800m Relay in honor of Northside Alumni Patrick Brennan and IHSA State Qualifiers Malcolm Grba, Danny Rosen, and Simon Kafka. Medals for FIRST through THIRD place will be awarded in all individual events and/or relays.
