Freshman Cesear Rufino and Sophomore Patrick Brennan place 3rd and 4th in the Mile!
In the Varsity 400m run, Gordon Tech's Mussa won it with an official time of 57.20. Fenton's Dilauro finished in second place with a time of 57.80. Conant's Tatomasi finished in third place with a time of 58.20. Northside Junior Ezra Edgerton finished in fourth place to secure vital points for the Mustangs with an outstanding time of 58.64. Elmwood Park's Stanczak finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with a time of 60.50.
In the Sophomore-Freshman 400m run, Conant's Hutchinsonwon it with a time of 60.50. Elmwood Park's Stechyshyn finished in second place with a time of 61.0. Conant's Bonilla finished in third place with a time of 63.30. Elmwood Park's Ceppi finished in fourth place with a time of 63.60. Gordon Tech's Murillo finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with a time of 66.0. Northside Freshman Robert Szmurlo ran an outstanding time of 67.33. Northside Freshman Darek Duplaga ran an oustanding time of 71.50.
In the Varsity 50 Yards Intermediate hurdles, Northside Senior Hersh Perlmutter was in contention to win it, and then a Gordon Tech hurdler came crashing into him, and Perlmutter quickly recovered and finished in fourth place with an outstanding time of 8.44.
In the Sophomore-Freshman 50 Yards Intermediate hurdles, Northside Freshman Walter Johnson-Geis finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with an outstanding time of 8.84. Northside Freshman Alex Theidmann ran a personal best time of 9.49. Northside Freshman Truman Brady ran a personal best time of 9.99.
In the Varsity 1600m run, Northside Junior Alex Seibt finished in seventh place with an outstanding time of 5:35.
In the Sophomore-Freshman 1600m run, Fenton's Estrada won it with a time of 5:24.60. Fenton's Wiggin finished in second place with a time of 5:26.0. Northside Freshman Cesear Rufino finished in third place with a time of 5:29.50. Northside Sophomore Patrick Brennan finished in fourth place with a time of 5:37.30. Conant's Bondi finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with a time of 5:39.90. Northside Freshman Alex Gordon ran an outstanding time of 6:14.0. Northside Freshman Christian La Luz ran an outstanding time of 6:44.0.
In the Varsity 200m dash, Gordon Tech's Akinbiyi won with it with a time of 24.9. Northside Junior Josh Williams finished in second place with an official time of 26.0. Gordon Tech's Durojaiye finished in third place with a time of 26.3. Fenton's Nocup finished in fourth place with a time of 26.4. Fenton's Gorecki finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with a time of 27.0. Northside Senior Hersh Perlmutter ran an outstanding time of 28.7.
In the Sophomore-Freshman 200m dash, Conant's Okpa won it with a time of 27.1. Elmwood Park's Calderon finished in second place with a time of 27.3. Elmwood Park's Stechyshyn finished in third place with a time of 27.6. Fenton's Morales finished in fourth place with a time of 27.7. Conant's Brown finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with a time of 27.8. Northside Sophomore Calvin Gang ran a time of 29.21. Northside Freshman Angelo Perez ran a time of 34.50. Northside Freshman David Huang ran a time of 35.70.
Northside Freshman Robert Szmurlo anchors Sophomore-Freshman 4x405 Yards Relay to THIRD place!
In the Sophomore-Freshman 4x405 Yards Relay, Northside Freshman Lucien Fitzpatrick ran a 57.26 405 Yards split, and made a nice exchange to Freshman Darek Duplaga. Northside Freshman Darek Duplaga ran a 63.15 405 Yards split, and made a perfect exchange to Northside Freshman Joel Deleon. Joel Deleon ran a 60.48 405 Yards split, and made a nice exchange to Freshman Robert Szmurlo. Robert Szmurlo anchored the Mustangs to THIRD place overall with a 60.87 405 Yards split, for an official time of 4:01.76.

Northside Alumni legend Cooper Eben visits the Mustangs as they prepare for De La Salle Indoor Classic!
On Tuesday, March 8, 2011, Northside Alumni legend Cooper Eben visited the Northside Mustangs at River Park Track, and inspired the TEAM, as the Northside Varsity prepares for the 2011 De La Salle Meteors Indoor Classic.
Cooper Eben helped the Mustangs to an IHSA Regional Cross Country Title in 2008, a City Championship in 2009, and ran a 9:55 3200m run in 2010. He also scored the most points by a Senior on the Northside Track & Field Team, and was Senior Male athlete of the year.
Cooper Eben currently attends Duke University, and as a college Freshman, Cooper Eben ran at Cross Country Club Nationals. At Nationals, he ran one of the top three times on the squad.
The De La Salle Meteors Indoor Classic will take place on Saturday, March 12, 2011. The bus will depart at 8:30 am, and the meet will commence at approximately 11:00 am with a unique order of events.

Northside is seeking Volunteers to help with the 2011 Eric Nelson Track & Field Classic on Wednesday, March 23, 2011
The Eric Nelson Track & Field Classic will be the first Outdoor Track & Field Meet in Illinois for the 2011 Season. The meet will take place at Hanson Stadium on Wednesday, March 23, 2011.
