In the 3200m run, Northside Senior Erik Zuehlke ran the first mile in 5:19, and then ran the final mile in 5:55 for a time of 11:14.22.

 In the 110m Hurdles, Northside Senior Hersh Perlmutter placed sixth overall to secure vital points for the Mustangs with an outstanding time of 16.59. Perlmutter earned All City Honors, and was awarded a Medal for placing sixth overall.

 In the 100m Dash, Northside Junior Mac Melto placed fifth overall with an outstanding time of 11.24. Melto earned All City Honors, and was awarded a Medal for placing fifth overall.

In the 800m run, Northside Senior Wesley Laytham placed second overall with an outstanding time of 1:58.98. Wesley Laytham earned All City Honors, and was awarded a Medal for placing second overall. Northside Junior Pat Duffy placed eighth overall to secure vital points for the Mustangs with an outstanding time of 2:08.15. Pat Duffy earned All City Honors, and was awarded a Medal for placing eighth overall. imageimageimage

 In three years, Mac Melto went from not making the Varsity Finals in the 400m run to Chicago Public League Champion! 

 In 2009 (Freshman Year), Mac Melto placed third in the Sophomore Chicago Public League Championships with a time of 52.47.

 In 2010, (Sophomore Year), Mac Melto did not make the Varsity Finals in the 400m run.

 In 2011, (Junior Year), Mac Melto qualified for the Varsity Finals with an outstanding time of 49.88!  

 On Saturday, May 7, 2011, in the 400m run, Northside Junior Mac Melto BROKE THE SCHOOL RECORD AND WON THE CITY TITLE with a personal best time of 49.30. Mac Melto was awarded a Medal for winning the City Title in the 400m run! Mac Melto will be honored in practice on Monday with a Watermelon for breaking the school record!

 In the 1600m run, Northside Junior Ezra Edgerton DROPPED 3 SECONDS to place seventh overall with a personal best time of 4:41.58. Ezra Edgerton earned All City Honors and was awarded a Medal for placing seventh overall. Ezra Edgerton ran the first 400m in 68 seconds, and then ran the next 400m in 73 seconds (2:21 800m), and then ran the next 400m in a NEGATIVE SPLIT of 70 seconds (3:31 1200m), and then ran the final 400m in an EVEN SPLIT of 70 seconds for a personal best time of 4:41.58. Ezra Edgerton passed Alumni legend Cooper Eben on the 1600m All Time list! imageimageimage
