 On Friday morning, May 13, 2011, the Northside College Prep Track & Field Team ran five miles to Wrigley Field to raise money for charity. After the run, the Mustangs attended the Chicago Cubs game against the San Francisco Giants at Wrigley Field. The Cubs won 11-4.

 Over the last eleven years, the Cubby run has raised almost $300,000.00 

 The Mustangs next practice will take place on Monday, May 16, 2011, at 3:45 pm.

 On Saturday, May 7, 2011, the Northside Varsity Men traveled to Hanson Stadium in Chicago, Illinois for the Chicago Public League Championships. It was one of the closest Championship meets in recent history.

 Northside had their best TEAM performance in the history of the program. A year ago, Northside finished in 15th place with 17 points. That changed dramatically on Saturday.

 The Northside Varsity Men finished in fourth place with 49 points. The Northside Mustangs almost tripled their score from a year ago. The Mustangs also came within 1 point of third place Mather (50 Points), and within 4 points of second place Calumet Perspectives (53 points). Lane Tech won the Team Title.

 Congratulations to Lane Tech, and Lane Tech Head Coach Kris Roof and staff. 

 Northside, Lane, and Mather will have a re-match in two weeks, at the IHSA Sectional Championships, on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Niles West High School.

 The Northside Varsity Men had a record of 62-3 on the day, and the Northside Coaching staff is more proud of this TEAM, than any other Team in the history of Northside College Prep.  

 Individual Events and Relays were scored on the following point scale: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.

In the Long Jump, Northside Junior Josh Williams jumped a personal best 20'10.75 to place fifth overall. Josh Williams earned All City Honors, and was awarded a Medal for placing fifth overall.

 In the Triple Jump, Northside Junior Josh Williams jumped a personal best 41'7 to place third overall. Josh Williams earned All City Honors, and was awarded a Medal for placing third overall.

 In the 4x800m Relay, Northside ran a 9:03.63 in the prelims, and was the eighth seed in the meet. The Northside 4x800m Relay DROPPED 27 seconds to place sixth overall with an official time of 8:36.08. Northside Junior Pat Duffy ran the first 400m in 60 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 68 seconds for a 2:08.09 800m split, and made a nice exchange to Ezra Edgerton. Northside Junior Ezra Edgerton ran the first 400m in 60 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 65 seconds for a personal best 2:05.27 800m split, and made a nice exchange to Dan Graham. Dan Graham ran the first 400m in 61 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 68 seconds for a personal best 2:09.62 800m split, and made a nice exchange to Charlie Mesimore. Northside Senior Charlie Mesimore anchored the Mustangs to sixth overall, with a 2:12.44 800m split, for an official time of 8:36.08. It was the Mustangs second fastest 4x800m Relay time this season. Pat Duffy, Ezra Edgerton, Dan Graham, and Charlie Mesimore earned All City Honors, and were awarded Medals for placing sixth overall.
