CHICAGO MARIST TRACK AND FIELD

 

 The entire Northside College Prep Track and Field Team will have a 400m Time Trial on Friday, January 27, 2012 from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm at North Park University Indoor Track & Field Stadium. Athletes will meet with the coaching staff at 6:00 pm for heat assignments, at the main entrance of Northside College Prep. Team Captains will then lead the Team on a warm-up run to the Indoor Track & Field Stadium on the corner of Kedzie and Carmen Ave.  

 The Time Trial is MANDATORY. All Athletes must be able to finish a 400m Time Trial to be on the TEAM. Uniforms will NOT be issued to any athletes that miss the Time Trial for any reason. Thanks.

 The Time Trial will help determine our initial Varsity, Junior Varsity, Sophomore, and Freshman 4x400m Relay Teams.

 The King and Queen of the Quarter competition gives Northside athletes an appreciation for each others events, and makes the TEAM stronger.

 The distance runners also benefit from the 400m Time Trial, by learning their maximum quarter speed. With the knowledge of their maximum quarter speed, the coaching staff is able to provide proper racing strategy for the 800m run.

 Athletes will meet at the MAIN ENTRANCE of Northside College Prep at 6:00 pm before going to the Indoor Stadium at North Park University. The Indoor Stadium is located on the corner of Kedzie and Carmen ave. Thanks.

 A public address announcer will introduce the contestants and announce the results of each 400m heat. There will also be a Starter with a starter's pistol and official timers for all of the 400m heats.

 Gatorade and water will be provided for all Athletes. ENGRAVED MEDALS will be AWARDED to the Top 3 Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshman Athletes in the 400m Dash.

 The entire Northside College Prep Track and Field Team will have Shot Put Trials on Friday, January 27, 2012 from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm at North Park University Indoor Track & Field Stadium.

 The Shot Put Trials are MANDATORY. All Athletes must take TWO throws to be on the Team, regardless of event group. Uniforms will NOT be issued to any athletes that miss the Shot Put Trials for any reason. Thanks.  

 The Trials will help us discover new throwers and determine our initial Varsity, Junior Varsity, Sophomore, and Freshman Throwers for the first meet.

3)   In addition to a Shot Put Head Official, there will be several landing judges.

 Gatorade and water will be provided for all Athletes. ENGRAVED MEDALS will be AWARDED to the TOP 3 Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshman Athletes that throws the Shot Put the furtherest distance.

Time Schedule:  Field Events (3:30 pm), Prelims (4:30 pm), Finals (5:00 pm)                                  

Practices will only last 60 minutes during final exams week.

We have worked too hard to not practice or compete over Spring Break. Be committed to yourself and the TEAM as you have ALL SEASON! Athletes going out of town, April 14 - 18, see your event coach and receive your SPECIALIZED WORKOUT PLANS for your workouts that you will do!
