Lucien Fitzpatrick places THIRD in 110m High Hurdles! Mac Melto BREAKS SCHOOL RECORD and WINS 100m Dash!
In the Varsity 110m High Hurdles, Northside Sophomore Lucien Fitzpatrick finished in third place with an outstanding time of 17.30. Northside Sophomore Stefan Roeseller finished in fifth place with an outstanding time of 21.20.
In the Varsity 100m Dash, Northside Senior Mac Melto WON it and BROKE THE SCHOOL RECORD with an official time of 10.60. Mac Melto earned a Watermelon for breaking the school record in the 100m dash. Northside Senior Fabian Lara finished in fourth place to complete the scoring with an official time of 12.30.
In the Varsity 800m run, Northside Senior Ezra Edgerton was scratched due to not feeling well during and after the 4x800m Relay. Northside Sophomore Robert Szmurlo ran an outstanding time of 2:18.0.
In the Varsity 4x200m Relay, Northside Junior Nathaniel Agharese was scratched. Northside Freshman Porter Abbey ran a 29.64 200m split on the first leg of the relay. Northside Senior Josh Williams ran a 23.28 200m split on the second leg of the relay. Northside Senior Fabian Lara ran a 25.69 200m split on the third leg of the relay. Northside Senior Mac Melto passed two teams, to anchor the Mustangs to SECOND place with a 22.84 200m split for an official time of 1:41.45.

In the Varsity 300m Hurdles, Northside Sophomore Lucien Fitzpatrick finished in SECOND place with an official time of 46.53. Northside Sophomore Stefan Roeseller finished in fifth place with an official time of 50.96.
In the Varsity 1600m run, Northside Junior Patrick Brennan ran the first 400m in 66 seconds, and then ran the next 400m in 74 seconds (2:20 800m split), and then ran the next 400m in 78 seconds (3:38 1200m split), and then outkicked two runners in the final 400m with a NEGATIVE SPLIT of 70 seconds to finish in SECOND place with an official time of 4:48.27. Northside Senior Dan Graham ran the first 400m in 67 seconds, and then ran the next 400m in 78 seconds (2:25 800m split), and then ran the next 400m in 86 seconds (3:51 1200m split), and then ran the final 400m in a NEGATIVE SPLIT of 76 seconds for an outstanding time of 5:07.90.
In the Varsity 200m Dash, Northside Senior Mac Melto WON it with an outstanding time of 22.30. Northside Senior Fabian Lara finished in fifth place with an outstanding time of 25.60.
In the Varsity Long Jump, Northside Senior Josh Williams finished in third place with an oustanding jump of 18'7.75.
In the Varsity Triple Jump, Northside Senior Josh Williams finished in third place with an oustanding jump of 37'6. Northside Freshman Ari Perlmutter finished in fourth place to complete the scoring with a personal best jump of 35'3.25.
In the Varsity Pole Vault, Northside Freshman Ari Perlmutter had three outstanding attempts at 7'0.
In the Varsity High Jump, Northside Sophomore Lucien Fitzpatrick finished in SECOND place with a jump of 5'6. Lucien Fitzpatrick had no misses throughout the entire competition, and did not get to attempt 5'8 due leaving the High Jump competition for the 300m Hurdles. Northside Freshman Ari Perlmutter finished in third place with an outstanding jump of 5'4.
In the Varsity Shot Put, Northside Junior Kapil Garg threw 29'11. Northside Junior Ify Nduwku threw 29'8. Northside Sophomore Henry Lothschutz threw 29'4. Northside Sophomore Alexander Pilski threw 29'4. Northside Junior Olabode Faleti threw 20'10.
In the Varsity Discus, Northside Sophomore Henry Lothschutz threw 90'1. Northside Junior Ify Nduwku threw 73'11. Northside Junior Kapil Garg threw 69'7.5. Northside Alexander Pilski threw 65'4. Northside Junior Olabode Faleti threw 55'9.
In the Varsity 4x400m Relay, Northside finished third overall, behind two deerfield 4x400m relays, and SECOND for scoring with an official time of 3:48.76. Northside Senior Dan Graham ran a 59.86 400m split on the first leg of the relay. Northside Junior Patrick Brennan ran a 57.30 400m split on the second leg of the relay. Northside Senior Pat Duffy ran a 57.41 400m split on the third leg of the relay. Northside Senior Ezra Edgerton anchored the Mustangs with a 54.19 400m split for an official time of 3:48.76.
Deerfield won the meet. Northside finished in second place with 44 points, and posted a BIG victory over Central Suburban League powerhouse Glenbrook North. Northside had a record of 1-1 on the day, and the Northside Varsity Men now have a season record of 69-23!!!

Porter Abbey SECOND in High Jump! Matt Osborne FOURTH in 300m Hurdles! Matt Osborne Triple Jumps 33'4! Adrian Black fourth in the 1600m run!
On Tuesday, April 10, 2012, the Northside Sophomore-Freshman Boys traveled to Adams Stadium at Deerfield High School in Deerfield, Illinois for the 2012 Deerfield Warrior Track & Field Classic.
The meet featured Glenbrook North, Northside College Prep, and host Deerfield High School. Individual events were scored 5-3-2-1, and relays were scored 5-3.
The meet had non-stop action, and keeping warm was important, as the temperature dropped from 40 degrees to 29 degrees.
In the Sophomore-Freshman High Jump, Northside Freshman Porter Abbey finished in SECOND place with a jump of 5'0.
In the Sophomore-Freshman Long Jump, Northside Freshman Porter Abbey finished in third place with an outstanding jump of 16'2.50. Northside Sophomore Stefan Roeseller jumped an outstanding 12'0.25.
In the Sophomore-Freshman Triple Jump, Northside Freshman Matt Osborne finished in third place with an outstanding jump of 33'4. Northside Sophomore Jay Yu finished in fourth place with a jump of 30'1.5.
In the Sophomore-Freshman Shot Put, Northside Freshman Declan Galleher threw a personal best 17'2.5.
In the Sophomore-Freshman Discus, Northside Freshman Declan Galleher threw a personal best 28'4.
In the Sophomore-Freshman 4x800m Relay, Northside finished in third place with an official time of 9:50.15. Northside Sophomore Nate Mendez ran a 2:24.30 800m split on the first leg of the relay, and made a nice exchange to Freshman Max McCoy. Max McCoy ran a 2:27.60 800m split on the second leg of the relay, and made a good exchange to Northside Freshman Connor Fulton. Connor Fulton ran a 2:27.24 800m split on the third leg of the relay, and made a nice exchange to Freshman Adrian Black. Adrian Black anhored the Mustangs to third place with a 2:31.69 800m split for an official time of 9:50.15.
In the Sophomore-Freshman 4x100m Relay, Northside Sophomore Jay Yu ran a 12.60 100m split on the first leg of the relay. Northside Freshman Calvin Kuhnen ran a 12.60 100m split on the second leg of the relay. Northside Freshman Elijah Hernandez ran a 14.20 100m split on the third leg of the relay. Northside Sophomore Connor Fulton anchored the Mustangs to third place with a 14.0 100m split for an official time of 53.05.

In the Sophomore-Freshman 3200m run, Northside Freshman Jack O'Donnell ran the first mile in 6:18, and then ran the final mile in an EVEN split of 6:18 for an official time of 12:36.00. Northside Sophomore Andrew Donchak dropped one minute and twenty seconds (14:32) for a personal best time of 13:12.00. Northside Freshman Declan Galleher dropped 27 seconds (15:02) for a personal best time of 14:35.00.
In the Sophomore-Freshman 110m High Hurdles, Northside Freshman Matt Osborne finished in fifth place with an official time of 21.31.
In the Sophomore-Freshman 100m Dash, Northside Sophomore Jay Yu finished in fourth place with an official time of 12.88. Northside Freshman Calvin Kuhnen finished in fifth place with an official time of 12.96.
In the Sophomore-Freshman 800m run, Northside Sophomore Robert Szmurlo ran in the Varsity heat, and ran the first 400m in 62 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 76 seconds for an official time of 2:18.00.
In the Sophomore-Freshman 4x200m Relay, Northside Sophomore Jay Yu ran a 27.50 200m split on the first leg of the relay. Northside Freshman Calvin Kuhnen ran a 28.50 200m split on the second leg of the relay. Northside Freshman Elijah Hernandez ran a 28.50 200m split on the third leg of the relay. Northside Freshman Connor Fulton anchored the Mustangs with a 28.00 200m split for an official time of 1:51.35.
In the Sophomore-Freshman 400m run, Northside Freshman Max McCoy finished in SECOND place with an official time of 64.06. Northside Freshman Jack O'Donnell finished in fourth place with an official time of 68.87.
In the Sophomore-Freshman 300m Hurdles, Northside Freshman Matt Osborne ran a pure guts race from start to finish. Osborne took a hard fall in the final 150m, and immediately got back up, and fought to the finish line to secure vital points for the Mustangs by placing fourth overall with an outstanding time of 53.19.
