The NCAA Indoor Track & Field season commenced in December 2012, and several Northside Alumni have begun their 2012-2013 Collegiate Indoor season.

On December 1, 2012, at Winston Salem, North Carolina, Northside Alumni Sophomore Wesley Laytham earned a place on Davidson College's Top 10 performance list in 1,000 meters run with a personal best time of 2:37.29. Laytham will race next at the Wake Forest University Invitational on Saturday, January 19, 2013.

On December 7, 2012, at the University of Notre Dame, Northside Alumni Freshman Mac Melto ran an indoor personal record of 48.75 in the 400m run for the DePaul Blue Demons. Mac Melto qualified for the Big East Conference Finals in the 400m run in his very first collegiate race. In the 4x400m Relay, Mac Melto came from behind, and anchored DePaul past Marquette University at the finish line for Second place with an amazing kick to the finish. Melto will race next at the University of Wisconsin Badger Classic on Saturday, January 12, 2013.

Northside Alumni Senior John Byrne will run in his first meet of the 2013 season for Fordham on January 4, 2013 at the famous Armory Track & Field Stadium in New York City.
