 In the 200m Dash, Northside Senior Nathaniel Agharese WON it with an outstanding time of 23.33. A year ago, Nathaniel Agharese earned All City Honors by placing third in the Indoor City Championships with a 23.81. On Saturday, Nathaniel Agharese ran 0.48 of a second faster than his 2012 Indoor City Championship performance. Agharese also went from a 7.07 to a 6.72 in the 55m Dash! Northside Freshman Steven Kataba ran an outstanding time of 27.16. Northside Freshman Keith Jones ran an outstanding time of 27.91.

 In the 4x400m Relay "A", Northside finished in fifth place with an official time of 4:04.04. Northside Sophomore Matt Osborne ran the first leg of the relay in 60.32. Northside Senior Calvin Gang ran the second leg of the relay in 60.83. Northside Junior Cesar Rufino ran the third leg of the relay in 60.03. Northside Junior Lucien Fitzpatrick anchored the Mustangs to fifth place with a 400m split of 62.86 for an official time of 4:04.04.

 In the 4x400m Relay "B", Northside finished in eighth place with an official time of 4:19.26. Northside Junior Robert Szmurlo ran the first leg of the relay in 63.80. Northside Freshman Matthew Gomez ran the second leg of the relay in 64.51. Northside Freshman Jack Svoboda ran the third leg of the relay in 63.97. Northside Freshman Danny Rosen anchored the Mustangs to eighth place with a 400m split of 66.10 for an official time of 4:19.26.

 In the 4x400m Relay "C", Northside finished in ninth place with an official time of 4:31.64. Northside Junior Alex Gordon ran the first leg of the relay in 68.60. Northside Freshman Justin Washington ran the second leg of the relay in 72.70. Northside Sophomore Calvin Kuhnen ran the third leg of the relay in 72.76. Northside Sophomore Jack O'Donnell anchored the Mustangs to ninth place with a 400m split of 67.41 for an official time of 4:31.64.

Every point scored is vital to the success of the TEAM. The outcome of a Championship meet has come down to a single point on several occassions.

 On Wednesday, February 6, 2013, Northside Senior Spencer Parts, Junior Jay Yu, Freshman Emmet Hilly, Freshman Audrey Konow, and Freshman Isabella Kiser, and Northside Pole Vault Coach Dan Turvey traveled to Whitney Young High School in Chicago, Illinois for the Pole Vault portion of the Whitney Young Indoor Classic.
 
 The Indoor Classic features Kenwood Academy, Walter Payton, Northside College Prep, and host Whitney Young. The Pole Vault portion of the meet commenced on Wednesday, and all of the remaining events will take place on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the University of Chicago's Henry Crown Field house.
 
 The following point scale is being used for Individual Events: 8-6-4-2-1 and for Relays: 8-6-4. 
 
 The Whitney Young Pole Vault Gymnasium is complete with upper deck seating. There were 15 vaulters in the competition, and spectators lined the Gym to watch it.

 Whitney Young's Noah Sebek won it with a vault of 9'0. Whitney Young's J.T. Terry finished in second place with a vault of 7'6. Northside Senior Spencer Parts cleared 6'6 on his first attempt. Spencer Parts then cleared 7'0 on his second attempt. Spencer Parts then made three outstanding attempts at 7'6. Spencer Parts finished in THIRD place with a personal best vault of 7'0. Northside Freshman Emmet Hilly cleared 6'6 on his second attempt. Emmet Hilly then made three outstanding attempts at 7'0. Emmet Hilly finished in FOURTH place with a personal best vault of 6'6

 Northside Junior Jay Yu, Freshman Audrey Konow, and Freshman Isabella Kiser made three attempts at 6'6. Whitney Young's Meeghan Mleczek, Myla Claybourn, Angela Leung, Elsi Flores, and James Cheung also made three outstanding attempts at 6'6. There was also an exhibition vaulter from St.Ignatius (Elliot Gibson) that cleared 12'6!
 
 Northside scored a total of 6 points in Pole Vault! No points for Kenwood or Walter Payton in Pole Vault. 
 
 The Northside Vaulters will compete next in the Spartan Classic at Glenbrook North High School on Wednesday, February 13, 2013.

 On Friday, February 1, 2013, the Northside Sophomore Boys Track & Field team traveled to Niles West High School in Skokie, Illinois for the Niles West Wolves Indoor Classic!

 The meet featured 20 Teams, and individuals events and relays were scored on the following point scale: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.  The Northside Sophomores had their best start to a season in the history of Northside! 

 The first set of results had Niles West winning it by a score of 134-114. The results were missing multiple events in the Team Totals. After the Team scores, and points were reviewed, Official scorer Ron Campbell announced that Northside College Prep (19-0) WON the meet with 137 points, and posted victories over: 2. Niles West (134 points), 3. Walter Payton (85.50 points), 4. Niles North (77 points), 5. Taft (28 points), 6. Mather (26 points), 7. Von Steuben (16.50 points), 8. Brooks (12 points), 9. Lincoln Park (11 points), 10. Urban Prep (10.50 points), 11. Orr Academy (9.50 points), 12. Perspectives (8 points), 13. Lake View (6 points), 14. Northtown Academy (5 points), 15. Schurz (5 points), 16. North Lawndale (4 points), 17. Gordon Tech (0 points), 18. Marshall (0 points), 19. UIC College Prep (0 points), and 20. Clark (0 points).

 In the Shot Put, Northside Sophomore Ari Perlmutter finished in second place with an outstanding throw of 37'5.5. Sophomore Malcolm Grba had an outstanding throw of 23'5. Sophomore Michael Walt had an outstanding throw of 21'10. Sophomore Declan Galleher had an outstanding throw of 21'8. Sophomore Jack O'Donnell had an outstanding throw of 18'9.

 In the Long Jump, Northside Sophomore Matt Osborne finished in second place with a jump of 16'0.5. Sophomore Gabriel Jminez-Ekman had a personal best jump of 10'5.5.

 In the Triple Jump, Northside Sophomore Porter Abbey finished in second place with a jump of 36'5. Northside Sophomore Matt Osbrone finished in third place with a jump of 34'0. 

 In the High Jump, Northside Sophomore Ari Perlmutter won it with a leap of 5'4. Northside Sophomore Porter Abbey finished in third place in the High Jump with a leap of 4'8.

 In the 1000m run, Northside Sophomore Adrian Black finished in fourth place with an outstanding time of 3:00.50. Northside Sophomore Jack O'Donnell finished in eighth place with a personal best time of 3:08.70.

 In the 55m High Hurdles, Northside Sophomore Matt Osborne finished in fourth place with an outstanding time of 10.60.

 In the 50m Dash, Northside Sophomore Tom Frejowski finished fourth in his heat, and in ninth place overall with an official time of 6.90. Northside Sophomore Michael Walt ran a personal best time of 7.10. Northside Sophomore Gabriel Jimenez-Ekman ran a personal best time of 7.30.

 In the 800m run, Northside Sophomore Malcolm Grba WON it with an official time of 2:13.60. It was the fastest time ever run by a Northside Sophomore on the Niles West Track. The previous best Northside Sophomore 800m time on Niles West 160m Track was held by Charlie Mesimore (2009, 2:13.90). Northside Sophomore Max McCoy finished in seventh place with an official time of 2:28.00.

 In the 4x160m relay, Northside finished in THIRD place with an official relay time of 1:33.46. Northside Sophomore Alejandro Ballesteros ran a 24.49 160m split on the first leg of the relay. Northside Sophomore Michael Walt ran a 21.93 160m split on the second leg of the relay. Northside Sophomore Calvin Kuhnen ran a 25.38 160m split on the third leg of the relay. Northside Sophomore Gabriel Jimenez-Ekman ran a 21.66 160m split to anchor the Mustangs to an official time of 1:33.46.

 In the 600m run, Northside Sophomore Connor Fulton finished in THIRD PLACE with an official time of 1:45.10. Northside Sophomore Jack O'Donnell finished in fifth place with an official time of 1:49.70. Northside Sophomore Declan Galleher ran an official time of 2:02.80.

 In the 400m, Northside Sophomore Tom Frejowski WON it with an official time of 57.00. Northside Sophomore Matt Osborne finished in third place with an outstanding time of 61.80. Northside Sophomore Alejandro Ballesteros ran a personal best time of 73.40.

 In the 55m Low Hurdles, Northside Sophomore Porter Abbey finished in THIRD PLACE place with a personal best time of 7.90.

 In the 1600m run, Northside Sophomore Malcolm Grba finished in SECOND place with a personal best time of 5:01.40. Northside Sophomore Adrian Black finished in fifth place with an outstanding time of 5:18.0.

 In the 200m Dash, Sophomore Gabriel Jimenez-Ekman ran a personal best time of 28.31. Sophomore Calvin Kuhnen ran an outstanding time of 28.70. Sophomore Alejandro Ballesteros ran an outstanding time of 30.22.

 In the 4x160m Weightmen's Relay, Northside Sophomore Michael Walt ran a 21.19 160m split on the first leg of the relay. Northside Sophomore Declan Galleher ran a 24.55 160m split on the second leg of the relay. Northside Sophomore Jack O'Donnell ran a 23.26 160m split on the third leg of the relay. Northside Sophomore Ari Perlmutter anchored the Mustangs to VICTORY with a 22.88 160m split for an official time of 1:31.88.

 In the 4x400m Relay, Northside finished in SECOND place with an official time of 4:07.70. Sophomore Porter Abbey ran a 60.14 400m split on the first leg of the relay. Sophomore Max McCoy ran a 62.77 400m split on the second leg of the relay. Sophomore Malcolm Grba ran a 61.57 400m split on the third leg of the relay. Sophomore Tom Frejowski anchored the Mustangs to SECOND place with a 62.10 400m split for an official time of 4:07.70.

The Northside Sophomore Team will be receiving Niles West Invitational Champions T-shirts!
