 In the 4x800m Relay, Northside Freshman Danny Rosen ran the first 400m in 63 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 71 seconds for an 800m split of 2:14.15, and made a perfect hand-off to Sophomore Max McCoy. Max McCoy ran the first 400m in 67 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 71 seconds for an 800m split of 2:18.13, and made a nice hand-off to Freshman Matthew Gomez. Matthew Gomez ran the first 400m in 66 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 70 seconds for an 800m split of 2:16.06, and then made a perfect exchange to Northside Sophomore Malcolm Grba. Malcolm Grba ran the first 400m in 60 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 66 seconds for an 800m split of 2:06.30 to anchor the Mustangs past three teams, including Whitney Young (9:08.67), Walter Payton (9:01.72), and Lane Tech (8:58.90) to WIN the 4x800m Relay City Title with an official time of 8:55.59! Mather finished in fifth place with an official time of 9:10.35. Jones College Prep finished in sixth place with an official time of 9:22.17. Chicago Bulls College Prep finished in seventh place with an official time of 9:31.05. UIC College Prep finished in eighth place to complete the scoring with an official time of 9:38.67.

 In the High Jump, a three way tie for first place was broken by the total number of misses in the competition. Northside Sophomore Ari Perlmutter WON the City High Jump Title with a leap of 5'6. Ari Perlmutter won the tie-breaker by having the least number of misses in the competition. The last Northside Athlete to win the Sophomore City High Jump Title was Eric Nelson in 2006. Brooks Freshman Joseph Patterson finished in second place with a jump of 5'6. Northside Sophomore Mana Hilmara finished in third place with a personal best jump of 5'6. Mana Hilmara improved from 5'0 to a personal best leap of 5'6 for an improvement of 0'6, to secure vital points for the Mustangs. Morgan Park Freshman Xavier Taylor finished in fourth place with a jump of 5'2. Morgan Park Freshman Aaron LEftridge and Lane Tech Sophomore Neil Molloy tied for sixth place with jumps of 5'0. Dunbar Sophomore Cornelius Jones finished in seventh place with a jump of 5'0. Dunbar Sophomore Deandre Hall finished in eighth place to complete the scoring with a jump of 5'0.

 In the Shot Put, Northside Sophomore Ari Perlmutter finished in third place with a personal best throw of 40'03.

 In the Discus, Northside Sophomore Malcolm Grba finished in seventh place to secure vital points for the Mustangs with an outstanding throw of 89'11.

 In the Long Jump, Northside Sophomore Mana Hilmara finished in seventh place with an outstanding jump of 17'3.

 In the Triple Jump, Northside Sophomore Porter Abbey finished in second place with a personal best jump of 38'0. Northside Sophomore Matt Osborne finished in eighth place to complete the scoring with an outstanding jump of 36'02.

 In the 3200m run, Northside Sophomore Adrian Black ran the first mile in 5:23, and then ran the final mile in a NEGATIVE split of 5:13 to finish in THIRD place overall with an official time of 10:36.08. Northside Sophomore Jack O'Donnell ran the first mile in 6:06, and then ran the final mile 6:34 for an official time of 12:40.00.

 In the 110m Hurdles, Northside Sophomore Matt Osborne finished in SECOND place with a personal best time of 17.70. Northside Sophomore Porter Abbey finished in THIRD place with an outstanding time of 18.58.
