 In the IHSA Sectional High Jump competition, ties were broken by awarding the higher place to the athlete with the least amount of misses during the competition. Norridge Ridgewood Sophomore Tajesh Patel won it with a leap of 5'10. Northside Junior Lucien Fitzpatrick began an historic day, by finishing in SECOND place and QUALIFYING for STATE in the High Jump with a leap of 5'10. Lucien Fitzpatrick was awarded a MEDAL for finishing in second place overall. Lucien Fitzpatrick performances at the IHSA Sectional Championships were incredible. Lucien Fitzpatrick qualified for State in four events, scored more points as an individual (38 points), than 13 Teams in the IHSA Sectional, broke the school record in the 300m Hurdles, and broke the school record for the most points ever scored in a season! Lucien Fitzpatrick became the first man in the history of Northside College Prep to score over 200 Varsity points in a season!!! Urban Prep Sophomore Erik Henderson finished in third place with a jump of 5'8. Northside Sophomore Ari Perlmutter secured vital points for the mustangs by finishinig in fourth place with an outstanding jump of 5'6. Ari Perlmutter was awarded a MEDAL for finishing in fourth place overall. Norridge Ridgewood Sophomore Matt Lechowski finished in fifth place with a jump of 5'4.

 In the IHSA Sectional Long Jump competition, Orr Academy Sophomore Darrell Partee won it with a jump of 17'09.50. Norridge Ridgewood Sophomore Tajesh Patel finished in second place with a jump of 17'06.00. Northside Sophomore Mana Hilmara finished in third place with a personal best jump of 17'05.00. Mana Hilmara was awarded a MEDAL for finishing in third place overall. Prosser Junior Kwan Brown finished in fourth place with a jump of 17'02.00. Prosser Sophomore Brandon Wiley finished in fifth place with a jump of 17'00.00. Norridge Ridgewood Freshman Kevin Moore finished in sixth place to complete the scoring with a jump of 16'00.50. Northside Sophomore Porter Abbey made three outstanding attempts, but unfortunately crossed the foul line before the jumps.

 In the IHSA Sectional Triple Jump competition, Northside Junior Lucien Fitzpatrick WON it and QUALIFIED for STATE with a jump of 38'08.25. Lucien Fitzpatrick was awarded a MEDAL for finishing in first place. Norridge Ridgewood Sophomore Tajesh Patel finished in second place with a jump of 38'01.50. Northside Sophomore Porter Abbey secured vital points for the Mustangs by finishing in THIRD place with an outstanding jump of 37'05.00. Porter Abbey was awarded a MEDAL for finishing in third place overall. Norridge Ridgewood Junior Geralo Huerta finished in fourth place with a jump of 36'06.50. Prosser Sophomore Brandon Wiley finished in fifth place with a jump of 34'08.00. Prosser Junior Kwan Brown finished in sixth place to complete the scoring with a jump of 34'01.50.

 In the IHSA Sectional 4x800m Relay, Northside Freshman Danny Rosen ran the first 400m in 61 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 67 seconds for an 800m split of 2:07.47, and then made a nice exchange to Freshman Matthew Gomez. Matthew Gomez ran the first 400m in 66 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 69 seconds for an 800m split of 2:15.79, and then made a nice exchange to Senior Raymond Siddiqi. Raymond Siddiqi ran the first 400m in 65 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 72 seconds for an 800m split of 2:17.51, and then made a nice exchange to Junior Simon Kafka. Simon Kafka anchored the mustangs to VICTORY by running the first 400m in 63 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 66 seconds for an 800m split of 2:09.39 to QUALIFY for the IHSA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS with an official time of 8:50.16

 Chicago UIC finished in second place with an official time of 9:01.09 to qualify for the State Championships. Chicago Bulls College Prep finished in third place with an official time of 9:07.25. Norridge Ridgewood finished in fourth place with an official time of 9:10.39. Urban Prep finished in fifth place with an official time of 9:50.19. Chicago Muchin finished in sixth place to complete the scoring with an official time of 9:50.30.
