 In the 4x800m Relay, the Fully automated Timing results were incorrect, and we now have the correct places, but we do not have the offical times for all of the schools. Illiana Christian won it. University High finished in second place. Northside finished in third place with an official time of 9:13.52. Lane Tech finished in fourth place. Mather finished in fifth place. Brooks finished in sixth place. Chicago Bulls finished in seventh place. Kelly finished in eighth place to complete the scoring.

 Northside Sophomore Matthew Gomez ran 200m splits of 30, 33 (63 for the 400m), 34 (1:37 for the 600m), and then ran the final 200m in 35.52 seconds for an 800m split of 2:12.52, and then made a nice exchange to Max McCoy.

 Northside Junior Max McCoy ran 200m splits of 32, 34 (66 for the 400m), 35 (1:41 for the 600m), and then ran the final 200m in an EVEN split of 35 seconds for an 800m split of 2:16.84, and then made a perfect exchange to Kenny Dumez.

 Northside Junior Kenny Dumez is a great athlete, and competes in three sports. On Friday, he ran in his first high school Track meet of his athletic career.

 During the Fall Cross Country season, Kenny Dumez went from a personal record of 21:11 at the Rebel Invitational on September 7, 2013 to a 17:28 at the IHSA Regional Championships on October 26, 2013. Kenny Dumez dropped three minutes and 43 seconds during the 2013 Cross Country season!

 During the Winter Wrestling season, Kenny Dumez qualified for the IHSA Sectional Championships by pinning his opponent in the Regional Finals. Kenny Dumez also had over 20 wins during his Junior Wrestling season.

 Dumez is going to have a major impact for the Mustangs in the Long and Middle distance races. He has incredible work ethic and strives to run personal best times at every meet for the Team. On Friday, Kenny Dumez ran 200m splits of 31, 37 (68 for the 400m), 36 (1:44 for the 600m), and after some trouble with traffic in the exchange zone, ran the final 200m in 40 seconds for a personal best 800m time of 2:24.62, and made a good exchange to Tom Frejowski.

 Northside Junior Tom Frejowski anchored the Mustangs to THIRD place with 200m splits of 31, 35 (66 for the 400m), 37 (1:43 for the 600m), and then ran the final 200m in a NEGATIVE split of 36 seconds for an 800m split of 2:19.26 for an official 4x800m Relay time of 9:13.52.

 In the 4x800m Relay "B" Division, Northside finished in SECOND place overall!

 On the first leg of the relay, Northside Freshman Alex Ortiz ran an 800m split of 2:24.00, and then made a nice exchange to Brian McManus. Northside Freshman Brian McManus ran an 800m split of 2:30.00 on the second leg of the relay, and made a perfect exchange to Josh Borgwardt. Northside Freshman Josh Borgwardt ran a personal best 800m split of 2:39.00 on the third leg of the relay, and then made a perfect exchange to Nick Jean-Baptiste. Northside Junior Nick Jean-Baptiste dropped two seconds off his best time (2:24.60) to anchor the Mustangs past the Mather "B" Relay to finish in SECOND place overall with a personal best 800m split of 2:22.66.

 In the 4x200m Relay, Northside Sophomore Steven Kataba ran the first leg of the relay in an impressive 25.48 200m split, and then made a nice exchange to Northside Sophomore Keith Jones. Keith Jones ran the second leg of the relay with an outstanding 26.00 200m split, and then made a great exchange to Northside Junior Calvin Kuhnen. Calvin Kuhnen ran an impressive 26.96 200m split, and then made a perfect exchange to Northside Junior Gabriel Jimenez-Ekhman. Gabriel Jiminez-Ekman passed Chicago Brooks (1:45.48, 5th place) on the final leg of the relay with an outstanding 25.99 200m split to anchor the Mustangs to FOURTH place with an official time of 1:44.89.

 In the 4x200m "B" Relay, Northside Freshman Jacob Cosby ran the first 200m in 27.76 seconds, and then made a nice exchange to Northside Junior Harry Winters. Harry Winters ran a 28.98 200m split, and then made a good exchange to Northside Freshman Jack Webster. Jack Webster ran an outstanding 31.36 200m split, and then made a nice exchange to Sophomore Garret Barch. Garret Barch anchored the Mustangs with an impressive 27.97 200m split for an official time of 1:56.54.

 In the 3200m run, Northside Junior Adrian Black dropped 0.04 of a second (10:41.16, Whitney Young Indoor Classic) to finish in seventh place with a season best time of 10:41.12. Adrian Black ran the first mile in 5:17, and then ran the second mile in 5:24 for an official time of 10:41.12. Northside Senior Cesar Rufino dropped 40 seconds (11:36.98, Whitney Young Indoor Classic) to finish in eighth place to complete the scoring with a season best time of 10:56.43. Cesar Rufino ran the first mile in 5:18, and then ran the second mile in 5:38 for an official time of 10:56.43. Northside Sophomore Sarrin Chethik dropped 26 seconds (12:07.83, Lake Forest Academy Classic, 2013) off his career best time to finish in tenth place with a new personal record of 11:41.84. Sarrin Chethik ran the first mile in 5:44, and then ran the final mile in 5:57 for an official time of 11:41.84. Northside Senior Alex Gordon finished 11th overall with an outstanding time of 11:42.80. Alex Gordon ran the first mile in 5:40, and then ran the final mile in 6:02 for an official time of 11:42.80. Northside Freshman Sergio Soto ran a personal best time of 13:30.95. Sergio Soto ran the first mile in 6:27, and then ran the final mile 7:03 for an official time of 13:30.95. Northside Junior Joseph Dschida ran an official time of 13:52.50. Joseph Dschida ran the first mile in 6:10, and then ran the final mile in 7:42 for a time of 13:52.50.

 In the 55m High Hurdles, Northside Senior Lucien Fitzpatrick finished in SECOND place with an outstanding time of 8.31. Northside Junior Matt Osborne finished in fifth place with an official time of 9.49. Northside Sophomore Justin Washington finished in seventh place with an outstanding time of 10.17. Northside Junior Nick Jean-Baptiste finished in eighth place to complete the scoring with an official time of 10.52. Northside Freshman Jack Nolan ran an outstanding time of 12.87.

 In the 55m Dash, Northside Sophomore Steven Kataba ran an official time of 7.39. Northside Sophomore Keith Jones dropped 0.20 of a second for a personal best time of 7.40. Northside Junior Gabriel Jimenez-Ekman  ran an outstanding time of 7.50. Northside Freshman Jacob Cosby ran an outstanding time of 7.73. Northside Junior Calvin Kuhnen ran an official time of 7.83. Northside Senior Jesus Perez ran a personal best time of 7.85

 In the 800m run, Northside Junior Malcolm Grba won it with an official time of 2:01.96. Malcolm Grba ran 200m splits of of 30, 31 (61 for the 400m), 31 (1:32 for the 600m), and then ran the final 200m in a NEGATIVE split of 29 seconds for an official time of 2:01.96. 

 Northside Sophomore Danny Rosen finished in SECOND place with a personal best time of 2:02.34. Danny Rosen ran 200m splits of 31, 30 (61 for the 400m), 30 (1:32 for the 600m), and then ran the final 200m in an EVEN split of 30 seconds for an official time of 2:02.34. It was the third fastest 800m time in the history of Northside!

 Northside Junior Adrian Black ran an official time of 2:28.85. Adrian Black ran 200m splits of 35, 37 (72 for the 400m), 37 (1:49 for the 600m), and then ran the final 200m in 39 seconds for an official time of 2:28.85.

 Northside Sophomore Max Guthmann dropped 4 seconds with a personal best time of 2:29.17. Max Guthmann ran 200m splits of 33, 37 (70 for the 400m), 40 (1:50 for the 600m), and then ran the final 200m in a NEGATIVE split of 39 seconds for an official time of 2:29.17.

 Northside Sophomore Matthew Gomez ran an official time of 2:31.01.

 Northside Junior Nathaniel Negussie ran a personal best time of 2:44.62. Nathaniel Neguissie ran 200m splits of 37, 40 (77 for the 400m), 44 (2:01 for the 600m), and then ran the final 200m in a NEGATIVE split of 43 seconds for an official time of 2:44.62.

 Northside Freshman Jack Webster dropped 2 seconds with a personal best time of 2:46.19. Jack Webster ran 200m splits of 37, 40 (77 for the 400m), 46 (2:03 for the 600m), and then ran the final 200m in a NEGATIVE split of 43 seconds for an official time of 2:46.19.

 Northside Freshman Miguel Garay ran an official time of 2:49.68. Miguel Garay ran 200m splits of 35, 41 (76 for the 400m), 46 (2:02 for the 600m), and then ran the final 200m in 47 seconds for an official time of 2:49.68.

 In the 400m run, Northside Junior Tom Frejowski finished in SECOND place with an official time of 54.66. Northside Freshman Brandon Banas ran an outstanding time of 58.47. Northside Junior Max McCoy ran an outstanding time of 59.92. Northside Senior Cesar Rufino ran an outstanding time of 61.31.

 In the 1600m run, Lane Tech Senior Oswaldo Lorenzana won it with an official time of 4:36.12. Northside Junior Malcolm Grba finished in SECOND place with an outstanding time of 4:37.93. Malcolm Grba ran 400m splits of 68, 71 (2:19 for 800m), 70 (3:29 for 1200m), and then ran the final 400m in a NEGATIVE split of 68 seconds for an official time of 4:37.93. Northside Sophomore Danny Rosen finished in THIRD place with an outstanding time of 4:41.96. Danny Rosen ran 400m splits of 70, 71 (2:21), 73 (3:34 for 1200m), and then ran the final 400m in a NEGATIVE split of 67 seconds for an official time of 4:41.96. Northside Freshman Kyle Friedler ran 400m splits of 75, 85 (2:40 for 800m), 88 (4:08 for 1200m), and then ran the final 400m in a NEGATIVE split of 81 seconds for a PERSONAL BEST time of 5:29.96. Northside Junior Kenny Dumez ran 400m splits of 77, 86 (2:43 for 800m), 88 (4:11 for 1200m), and then ran the final 400m in a NEGATIVE split of 84 seconds for a PERSONAL BEST time of 5:35.93. Northside Freshman Vladimir Andrade ran 400m splits of 82, 109 (3:11 for 800m), 107 (4:58 for 1200m), and then ran the final 400m in a NEGATIVE split of 104 seconds for a PERSONAL BEST time of 6:42.73.

 In the 200m Dash, Northside Junior Gabriel Jimenez-Ekman secured vital points for the Mustangs by finishing in seventh place with an outstanding time of 25.94. Northside Freshman Brandon Banas ran an outstanding time of 26.06. Northside Junior Max McCoy ran an outstanding time of 27.91.

 In the 4x400m Relay, Northside Freshman Brian McManus ran a 64.08 400m split on the first leg of the relay, and made a nice exchange to Northside Freshman Josh Borgwardt. Josh Borgwardt ran an impressive 400m split of 64.23 seconds on the second leg of the relay, and made a perfect exchange to Northside Sophomore Max Guthmann. Max Guthmann ran a 67.55 400m split on the third leg of the relay, and made a nice exchange to Northside Freshman Alex Ortiz. Alex Ortiz anchored the Mustangs to seventh place with a 63.07 400m split for an official time of 4:19.61.
