Justin Washington finishes THIRD in the 55m Low Hurdles! Malcolm Grba, Danny Rosen, and Adrian Black finish THIRD, FOURTH, and FIFTH in the 1600m run!
In the Varsity 55m Low Hurdles, Northside Junior Justin Washington finished in THIRD place with an outstanding time of 8.16. Northside Junior Garret Barch hurdled an impressive time of 8.70.
In the Varsity 1600m run, Northside scored 12 points, by finishing in third, fourth, and fifth place.
Northside Senior Malcolm Grba ran the first 800m in 2:27, and then ran the final 800m in a NEGATIVE split of 2:23 to finish in third place with an official time of 4:50.10.
Northside Junior Danny Rosen ran the first 800m in 2:29, and then ran the final 800m in an EVEN split of 2:29 to finish in fourth place with an official time of 4:58.30.
In 2014, Adrian Black ran a 5:15.70 at the Niles West Wolves Indoor Classic.
In 2015, Adrian Black ran the first 800m in 2:33, and then ran the final 800m in a NEGATIVE split of 2:28 to finish in fifth place with an official time of 5:01.10.
In 2014, Sarrin Chethik ran a 5:40.20 at the Niles West Wolves Indoor Classic.
In 2015, Sarrin Chethik ran the first 800m in 2:42, and then ran the final 800m in 2:43 for an official time of 5:25.90.
Northside Senior Tom Frejowski anchors Northside past Niles West to finish SECOND in the 4x400m Relay!
In the Varsity 4x400m Relay, Northside Junior Steven Kataba ran an impressive 400m split of 57.12 on the first leg of the relay, and made a perfect exchange to Brendan Powers. Northside Junior Brendan Powers ran an outstanding 400m split of 61.23 on the second leg of the relay, and made a good exchange to Brandon Banas. Northside Sophomore Brandon Banas ran an outstanding 400m split of 60.19 on the third leg of the relay, and made a perfect exchange to Senior Tom Frejowski.
Niles West had a large lead going into the final leg of the 4x400m relay. However, nothing is impossible when you have Captain Tom Frejowski as an anchor.
Northside Senior Tom Frejowski anchored Northside past Niles West, and into SECOND place with an impressive 56.16 400m split for an official time of 3:54.70.
