Northside Sophomore Brian McManus finishes in 7th in 1600m run! Northside Sophomore Sergio Soto finishes in 8th in 1600m run! Lemke 1600m PR!

 In the Varsity 1600m run, Thirty athletes from six school competed. Northside Sophomore Brian McManus finished in seventh place overall with a PERSONAL BEST time of 5:19.75. Brian McManus ran the first 800m in 2:37, and then ran the final 800m in 2:42 for an outstanding time of 5:19.75. Northside Sophomore Sergio Soto finished in eighth place overall with a PERSONAL BEST time of 5:22.55. Sergio Soto dropped 14 seconds (5:36) off his best time with a 5:22.55. Sergio Soto ran the first 800m in 2:41, and then ran the final 800m in an EVEN split of 2:41 for an official time of 5:22.55. Northside Sophomore Jakob Lemke ran the first 800m in 2:42, and then ran the final 800m in 2:44 to finish in tenth place with a PERSONAL BEST time of 5:26.96. Jakob Lemke dropped 22 seconds (5:48) off his best time with a 5:26.96. imageimageimage

Northside Freshman Kyle Lowenthal drops 27 seconds in the 1600m run for a PERSONAL BEST time of 5:32.39!

 In the Varsity 1600m run, Thirty athletes competed from six schools. Northside Freshman Kyle Lowenthal finished in 12th place overall with a PERSONAL BEST time of 5:32.39. Kyle Lowenthal dropped 27 seconds (5:59.80) off his best time with an official time of 5:32.39. Kyle Lowenthal ran the first 800m in 2:43, and then ran the final 800m in 2:49 for a personal best time of 5:32.39.  imageimage

Northside Junior Keith Jones finishes in THIRD place in the 200m dash with a personal best time of 23.82!!

 In the Varsity 200m Dash, Chicago Leo Junior Jamil Green won it with an official time of 23.53. Chicago Leo Junior Harvery Moss finished in second place with an official time of 23.71. Northside Junior Keith Jones finished in THIRD place with a personal best time of 23.82. Keith Jones will be awarded a MEDAL for finishing in third place overall. Chicago Bulls Junior Nigel Bradley finished in fourth place overall with an official time of 24.08. Chicago Leo Senior Zurrell Cook finished in fifth place overall with an official time of 24.22. Roosevelt Senior Markeon Bush finished in sixth place overall to complete the scoring with an official time of 24.24. Northside Junior Justin Washington finished in ninth place overall with an outstanding time of 24.69. Northside Freshman Carel Jones finished in 21st place with an outstanding time of 26.26. Steven Kataba, Sergio Soto, Danny Rosen, and Tom Frejowski WIN 4x400m Relay!

 In the Varsity 4x400m Relay, Northside Junior Steven Kataba ran a 55.04 400m split on the first leg of the relay, and made a good exchange to Sergio Soto. Northside Sophomore Sergio Soto ran a personal best 57.55 400m split on the second leg of the relay, and made a nice exchange to Danny Rosen. Northside Junior Danny Rosen ran a 54.39 400m split on the third leg of the relay, and made a good exchange to Tom Frejowski. Northside Senior Tom Frejowski anchored Northside to VICTORY with a 55.71 400m split for an official time of 3:42.69. Steven Kataba, Sergio Soto, Danny Rosen, and Tom Frejowski will be awarded MEDALS for winning the 4x400m Relay! Von Steuben finished in second place in the 4x400m Relay with an official time of 3:54.04. Chicago Leo finished in third place in the 4x400m Relay with an official time of 3:56.68. Chicago Bulls finished in fourth place in the 4x400m Relay with an official time of 4:01.55.Roosevelt finished in fifth place in the 4x400m Relay with an official time of 5:15.10. imageimageimage
